  The President must always be careful who he gives his ear to. As the writer here correctly points out sometimes it pays to take note of the record of those presuming to offer unsolicited advice. “By their deeds you shall know them”.

  The burden of the Presidency is not for the faint-hearted or for young inexperienced men or women. Those of us who were old enough to appreciate things saw what happened when a very young and terribly inexperienced JJ Rawlings took over the reins of government. It would be kindness to describe JJ's earlier years as CHAOTIC at best.

  If covid hadn't occurred Nana Addo would have been the best president of Ghana so sycophants and Ghanaians in general must have patience. Already Mahama has freed his cronies from bribery trials, suppressed free expression, arrested opponents and humiliated them on flimsy grounds, used state apparatus to support his son, seized mineral concessions for his family, incurred Goldbod losses of over $200m, appointed family and friends to key positions not based on competence, dismissed workers,
  failed to recruit nurses and teachers as promised, etc etc. So what's so unique about his governance and character that he deserves another term. Come again in three years not with crying tears about a failed president. The seeds are bound to sprout.
