South America and Asia went through the same colonisation, yet they have moved on.Frankly, we Ghanaians have absoutely nothing in common
with Nigerians apart from the colour of our skin. Yes, the Nzemas , Sefwis and the Agnis in the Ivory Coast have the same names, they even have the same plot of land for their cocoa farms. The reality is: Ŵe are divided yet these people interact exactly the same way as their ancestors did. They attend funerals, festivals on both sides without passports etc
Reparations: Have you ever bothered to read about the role our greedy chiefs played in slave raiding and trading and the huge sums of money they nade ? For example, Philip Quarcoe's, father Obrepong Kwadwo, chief of Cape Coast and a slave trader in the 1700s, was paid huge amount of money every two weeks. We know for a fact that all Asantehenes ftom Osei Tutu to Prempeh 1 sold slaves. Akyem ,Denkyira,Akwamu chiefès etc all sold. slaves. Akufo Addo ancestors were slave traders. Are their descendants responsible to pay reparations too?
