  Yes --that comment from the honorable is rather very unfortunate---the MP should have know better-----square pegs positioned in round holes should be applied here. Behavior [s] displayed in the HOUSE confirms this---incompetency-& embarrassment --our Parliamentarians give the impression of not well adept --well informed on BILLS being debated on ---either most of them are ignorant or just deliberately 'YES" men ---just in Parliament to concur--along Party lines. As an Example--that ANTI-GAY-ISM BILL was needless. A clear HUMAN RIGHT vrs. Cultural Right issue--that we already have a LAW that deals with indecent sexual behavior in public.--There is a PENALTY for that when taken to court--whether hetero-sexual or homosexual or whatever period . Next point no one was even advocating for same gender marriage---so why should our parliament waste precious time debating on Deviant Sexual Orientation --to the extent of going on further to pass a BILL to criminalize HOMOSEXUALITY?--Not taken into account the fact that Cultural Right can never and must never supersede HUMAN RIGHT.
  Is it because most of them are ignorant or it was just a deliberate misinformation and disinformation tactics to hoodwink the public to go in with them --whereas it would have served the country better had they seriously taken up on a debate to STOP the GALAMSAY MENACE---by enacting a LAW to BAN all artisanal small scale mining for a foreseeable period to allow the degraded agricultural Land ,Forest Reserves and Water bodies back to Life by a serious national Tree Planting program. Folks are we SERIOUS ? Is GHANA a serious NATION?

  This man could have been charged with sexual -abuse of a minor -even though maybe that was not the intention .
  Very careless comment from the Hon M.P.--I think he should have put it in this form--" LITTLE girl you are very beautiful and I will encourage you to work hard with your school work --one day in the future we shall promote you to take part at the Miss WORLD BEATY PAGEANT--
  I think the MP is very lucky the parents of the minor did not go ahead to press a charge . I think Speaker BABGIN must query this MP

  I don't remember my sister's being treated as brides in waiting even in the 1980s. They were valued as humans and given all the opportunities.
