Note, it is handled by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jamaica because the Jamaican Ministry of Foreign Affairs is also responsible for international trade ie it is called Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Okudzeto should step aside and let the Ministry of Trade or the Ministry responsible for Ghana Maritime Authority and the Ghana Shipping Authority do their job.

There are currently no goods of commercial value between Ghana and Jamaica. In the 70s the main good of value was the importation of Janaican Bauxite to be smelted at Valco because of cheap electricity. Now that does not exist anymore.

Business opportunities currently between Jamaica and Ghana lies in the services sector such as Entertainment, Sports, Films & Documentaries, tourism, Education abd Export of Health Professionals facilitated by IT systems and not Ports.

For this reason i will say this initiative is just for its politicak propaganda value and less for its ability of any concrete outcomes
