Thank you for the balanced approach to this issue. I dare to digress a little that the 'culture' in the schools, especially in low-income, which tends to be predominantly African American, and other immigrants such as those from Africa is simply toxic and a heavy handedness should be applied to bring back discipline. I can only imagine the bully attempts at your accents when teaching those kids. I tell folks, I am proud of my Ghanaian accent, no matter where I go. I just love it, if someone doesn't like it that is their cup of kooko, not mine. But parents in the diaspora, please spend quality time with your kids and talk to them, empathize and roll with the times. Sad case for Javits Frimpong and his parents. May he rest in peace and may the perpetrators be caught and dealt harshly(though I doubt, since they are so-called minors). Those boys are lucky they are in the USA, try that in China or Saudi Arabia. Thank you for the article, well written!

  HI :
I do not know where you live now. And I do not know whether you have ever lived anywhere in the US.

This Child was killed Not only because of bullying . Do you know the background lifestyle of the Bronx Community . Or do you know what the other school children think about an African who lives among them.

I believe you Lack many facts and then you write a long article in ignorance. There are levels of Racism at many levels in the US.
Even Black on black crime ; black on white crime ; white on white crime . etc. This is not the time to write about thie painful incident . Do you Care.
I personally would say , I have come across all levels of Racism
since I left many years ago. God Himself Help the parents at this time in their Sorrow.

Confront the the real sources of evil the boy suffered .

I personally saw a Security clip on Tik-Tok or Instagram when one of my Children showed it to me. It's painful and more if you are a parent .

Thank you. God Bless . Nii Ayi
