  Thanks for your writeup. Its high time Ghana woke up to the scene of book writing and publishing and compete for awards with other literary conscious African countries. But first, she should cultivate the culture of learning, speaking and reading English Language. And literacy, in all levels, should be strongly nurtured and encouraged among the people, young and old alike.

  Good article. I think more effort to market books outside of Ghana would help. Maybe a collective strategy is needed on this, or someone overseas. Ghana has got to start exporting some of its intellectual thrift as well as raw products. That will drive production in Ghana.
