"I would be grateful if they take a quick move to withdraw this case at the supreme court......" Much as I agree with Abdul on his logic and reasoning why Ghana should accept the results of the 2012 elections,I will beg to disagree with his recommendation to the NPP to withdraw the case at this point. There are several implications for the case to go on. (1)Withdrawing the case could be considered as cop out by NPP. (2)It will cast a shadow of doubt on the integrity of the Electoral Commission especially if Dr. Afari Djan's hands are clean. (3)Making the courts decide on the fairness or unfairness of the 2012 elections can help guide us in future elections.
My prayer is that the findings of the courts will be accepted in good faith by all parties involved. Finally, I am grateful to the writer for being level headed and so civil. I am tired of reading commentaries that are full of insults and unnecessary insinuations.

Mr. Frimpong totally agree with you that the writer had a good point but erred in suggesting that the NPP should withdraw the case from the SC. From what I read on this forum, NPP is not contesting the election result (particularly the presidential) because their agents did not do what they were supposed to do but rather, the EC did something with the final tabulation at the strong room. All these need to be clarified at the SC.

Is it possible that the the Staff of the Electoral Commission whose sole responsibility it is to transmit collated results at the Collation Centre to the E.C. in Accra get compromised and juggle with signed results by the Agents of the various Political Parties ? If that were so, can it not be said that electoral results are stolen?
Think about that possibility too my brother.

I did not hear of any of the EC members saying they were not going to vote. I nalso strongly believe that members of the EC belong to different Political Parties and would not allow any compromise in juggling results meant for their various Political Parties. I believe it would be childish to think that all members of the EC belong to one Political Party and therefore were compromised and juggled with signed results by the Agents... Be honest and fair. The girl, who was reading a book, closed it slowly and said to the guy, "What would you like to talk about?"
Oh, I don't know," said the guy. "How about nuclear power?"
"OK," she said. "That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow and a deer all eat the same stuff... grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets, while a cow turns out a flat patty, and a horse produces clumps of dried grass. Why do you suppose that is?"
The guy thought about it and said, "Hmmm, I have no idea."
To which the girl replied, "Do you really feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shit?"

It is ironically sad that someone who answers to the name SOFO has no iota of trait in the marquee name. “Sofo” is supposed to come with wisdom but unfortunately, the writer does not seem to have any of that. The writer wants us to believe he is a puritan and has no animosity towards anyone but ends with a scolding of the NPP. As one reads through Sofo’s piece, scenting out the subtle and insidious message about his target; the NPP gets louder. It is becoming threadbare for opponents of the NPP to harp on the cliché that the masses are leaving the NPP in droves because they have the audacity to challenge the verdict of an election. I believe their challenge is part of the democratic process. These avalanches of speculations and trajectories from political philanderers do not help anybody. This is a serious matter. The whole world is waiting anxiously for the outcome of this case. Let’s all wait and see what the Judiciary does with its supposed Independence from the Executive and Legislature. Tuo zaafi analysts should wait.

I am so sorry to be a Ghanaian reading things people say here in this forum. Really this writer has a low IQ. Look what is going on now in Ghana politics. We all don't like violence yet do not support peaceful legal action. NPP want some clarifications and the best way to do that is by going to court. Base on the writer's idea no wonder in Northern region they kill each other becuase of one tiny fowl. Any civilise meaningful Ghanaian should be proud that we did not end up chasing and killing each other on the street of Ghana because of election misunderstanding. Once again NPP has shown a real sense of integrity by using a peaceful means to put their grievances across by going to the supreme court. Ghanaians are so cheap no wonder Chinese can come to Ghana and start mining /steal our gold. Ghana a land full of idiots and magots. Shame unto all ignorant fools who speaks about peace but against NPP court action.
