How refreshing it is to read such an erudite and well written article on the Ghana Web.

Compared to some of the barely intelligible garbage that is so often published this is an absolute gem!

Regarding ‘Big Words’ comments apropos his Grandma’s grasp of some of the words used. I can empathise with him but I would also commend him to encourage Grandma to simply copy and ‘Google Search’ any words which she is unsure of. I did and I am now enriched with a deeper understanding of my mother language than I was before I read the article. Thank you K Badu!

Before I stopped to confirm my understanding of some of the words used I must confess I would have thought that ‘Hyperbole’ referred to some geometrical function and worse still, ‘Afflatus’ had something to do with overindulgence on a diet of pulses!

Great Article. Beats anything you are likely to come across in the UK Red Tops that’s for sure – and before anyone asks, “No, I am not hyperbolising”!

How, why, what for is Ghana so backward that we can not make up for our selves like other nations and only relie on thes inferior products and goods.
Oh no this is not what our forefathers meant by our independent . Let's always remember, people has shared their lives, blood for this nation, so what ever is been done has to be done with care.
Always let us remmember the meaning of our national flag. The red, the gold, and the green and also try the maintain it wealth.
This is what ghana is for and that is what Ghan mean.

There must be something terribly wrong with Ghana for things to happen in such manner. It is a sovereign state so must be able to enforce its rules. Even if the government has entered into deals with the Chinese government, it must not forget that, those loans must be repaid one day. nothing will change that. One day, those loans must be paid with interest, long after the hordes of China-men have depleted our resources, polluted our environment and left for home. This is why a times I hate democracy. Under its tenure, nothing is done, except protracted debates on very simple issues, talking about conforming to the rule of law whilst situations deteriorate. Give me the soldiers and if the worse happens, they can declare, YEN TUIA.

Badu, the Chinese are violating the environment primarily because of lax environmental regulations in Ghana and by extension in the whole of Africa....if the Ghanaian government had a stringent environmental policy and punitive measures to for those who blatantly violate the policy, the Chinese will tread carefully in rural Ghana....shed light on the corruption among officials in Ghana and the failure to create an environment where foreigners can be held accountable for the way they conduct business in Ghana...deporting a handful of Chinese is not the magic wand.....the Ghanaian government has to shoulder a majority of the blame....
