The government is not there to help the poor unemployed SSS graduate and these Chinese are putting some dole in their empty pockets to feed their equally poor families. What else? Food for thought.   Obviously no matter the trade agreement the Ghana government had entered into, there is no way that a Ghanaian could pitch his/her equipment in China to look for coal.
  I do not know, but is it possible illegal Ghanaian immigrant to do business openly in China?
  
  Some of the pictures some of us see in terms of the damage to farming land are very frightening.
  
  Badu might not be interested in farming but Ghana beibg his country of birth, he has the right to voice his thought.
  
  Why should Chineese come to Ghana to damage the land and go back to their country?
  
  There are many minerals in South Africa, why are Chineese by passing that country to Ghana?

The black skin links to impoverish, poverty , misery, fears amd impotency and the bottomline is ,,, masser masser .... while the fair skin links to superiority,wealth and wisdom......hence the influx of Chinese all over Africa and Eastern Europe.. Here in former Soviet Union particularly Russia,Ukraine,andBelarus the Chinese scrambles for land to build enormous estates and factories ,bribes their way thru immmigation, police , border posts, income tax authorities and city councils . But in Ghana its illegal chinese gaining momentum in mining and retail service deservced for local investors.
  This is becos our thinking capacity is sick , inferior, and deprived of courage to insist on our right to claim whatbelongs to us .......The President and policticians alone cannot solve this problem.   well done. our leaders are selfish, self centered, primitive, naive, they have masters in education, but common sense is out of the knowledge they have acquired. they do not think about tomorrow. if they are happy today, that is enough for them, they allowed children to be killed, abused, and have also sold the country to china gorvernment to destroy our lands. they think, people who have not done masters are not useful. they abused woman, and women are not allowed to share their knowlegde. they are leading our children and grandchildren to everlasting poverty. they only insult their oppositions but, none of them have the heart for their fellow ghanaians. please allow ghinese to do proper mining or send them away mr mahama. no one has the right to do so, apart from you. whatever money you have taken from them, give it back. i have not done masters in english, and english is not my first language, i hope those who want to understand my article will do. please mr mahama, protect the future not just today, remember your name will be among the history for ever when you are gone.how are you leading the country? are you creating a good future for ghana? or leading ghana for destruction, if our lands are destroyed then what future have we?

  The real problem is the chiefs, corrupt middle men/con artists, and officials who facilitate this; out of a mixture of environmental ignorance and sheer greed. Many of the Chinese do not even speak English; some probably think that as long as they have an agreement with a middleman and chieftain they have a proper deal. When the Chinese go, with Ghana's resources this can happen again, with even worse and more ruthless people than the Chinese. If we do not hold landowners and officials to account, Ghana could be in much worse trouble.
  
  The problem needs to be fixed at the root source. Landowners and chieftains need to be made accountable; and there need to be stricter planning permission laws. Anyone who creates environmental and agricultural destruction should face jail if they have not sought the correct permissions and they should be publicly exposed as vandals.
  
  Officials dealing with migrants need to be accountable, with possible strict sentences doled out for bribery and corruption.
  
  Proven con artists need to be named, shamed and blamed.
  
  And the migrants? Ghana needs to be more like Canada and Australia- only let the good ones in who are actually going to help us. These miners, intended or not, do not help Ghana, are not helping China (as they are making a bad image for them) and if there is a backlash, will find that despite all the gold in their pockets they are not even helping themselves.
