Just follow bishop dag and his train of thoughts and various comments he makes, don't under estimate the intellectual capabilities of bishop dag and his research prioress , he does not speak from emtiness, I went to the best jss but trust me but mention one person in Ghana who after jss has been able to set up a carpentry shop, u see Ghanaian have now become very discerning people, u guys better start working and take these critics not on a personal but on the issues, my brother don't let ur emotions override ur intelligence, by the way bishop dag doesn't even earn one cedis from selling cd and books. You see that's how it starts instead of celebrating the author of 100 title books with millions in circulation u are rather becoming too emotion, Ok now president Manama has been sworn in he must HONOUR his promises, in any case he didn't have to be sworn in before starting work he didn't hand over, what happened was mere ceremonial formality,WE ARE WAITING FOR ALL THE PROMISES TO BE FULFILLED REMEMBER WE HAVE 3 yrs 11 month just around the corner

One part of me feels sorry for Heward Mills. The fact is, for the many years I have known the man, he has never taken any interest in politics nor political bought except to criticise and complain to himself and anyone who would listen to him. Now that he has a national platform, He probably believes he is contributing to the national dialogue e.g. In education. He has every right to do so, but should stop labelling Ghanaians and generalising on the failure of the system as a whole. He is one of the lucky ones who benefited from them"old educational system" whi FAILED, yes, failed so many because of limited opportunities and ACCESS.
However his ignorance of the issues is both palpable and revealing. He is better off staying off politics. The one I find most cynical and politically calculating is Mensa Otabil who has betrayed partisanship in an unhelpful way.
Let's face it, most people have political sympathies but it is the way they display it. To me Otabil has failed the "litmus test" but Dag has simply displayed gross ignorance and naivity.

It is very shocking that his comments has exposed such level of vitriol, Insults on this forum.
Let me make a few points here:
1) Such baseless accusations, that he siphons the money of the poor is certainly not true. Give me evidence that he has embezzled the funds of the poor. This man has risen from the ashes and built many churches, schools, orphanage and hospital for the country. Has anyone in the government even thanked him for such benevolent work?
2) Hasnt the NDC and NPP government brought grief to Ghana? We are quick to buy 4x4 but cannot even transport water from one city to the another.
3) The leadership of Ghana is pathetic and I will kindly suggest u direct your insults, baseless accusations to the leaders of this country who are expects in leading 23 million people into poverty.
4) The church is the conscience of society- the salt and light of the country. If the church keeps quiet, we can be sure of being led into despotism, atheism and one party rule. Realize that most dictators eliminate the church to make it easier for them to oppress the masses. Eg Eastern Europe, USSR.
5)Calling a man of God an idiot, animal or thief is just below the belt of political reasoning. It is the symptom of someone who is below the zone of rational thinking.
Democracy affords us freedom of speech but not freedom of foolishness.
Ghanaians don't want the truth. We are one of the poorest countries in the world but we refuse to acknowledge it. We need to truth to stay awake to our squalor and primitivization.
After 50+ years of independence:
-We don't know how to dispose off our human waste
-we cannot provide water for ourselves
-we have a broken educational system that anyone can pass through without gaining knowledge enough to compete in the world
-we have only one mall, and we see it as a sign of economic advancement,
-Most of our roads are unpaved
-We don't have a budget surplus to fund investment projects. We have become world borrowers or " Salaka"
-We have one of the highest records of road accident in the world.
-Our health record is Terrible
-our leaders boasts of their foreign education but such education hasn't translated into practical wisdom and knowledge to dig us out of our mess.
All the books in the world can't contain the ills in our society, so I will end here.
We are still struggling with an extractive system of government that awards the rulers and not the ruled. This was the colonial system of government and it hasn't been changed for decades. Should we sit down quietly when our leaders who have been voted into power are sucking our blood like vampires, governing us into poverty whiles they live as fat cats?
Should we seal our conscience to the political malady in our country?
Lets wise up and accept the truth, regardless of who it's coming from. Wisdom is the not an exclusive club of the most educated in society. God blesses many of us with wisdom and it takes humility to accept the truth and wisdom of others, even if It makes us uncomfortable.
I will suggest. We grow up and offer constructive discussion of big ideas that can catapult us into an era of growth, development. Africa is the only continent undergoing primitivization and if we don't change course we will have no legacy for the next generation.

So it is not a surprise that such words that would help us if we paid heed to them are being defined as the words of a crazy man. If we would tell ourselves the truth as a nation we would begin the process of moving forward. Fifty plus years after independence we still only have one national airport, the plumbing system in our capital city is defunct, our electricity system is a joke. And yet because we tout various mobile phones, ipads, and wear 'obroni wa wu' we think that we have progressed. Progressed? Progressed my foot. Where is the infrastructure that points to progress, where are the factories that would bring employment? The innovations, modifications, and inventions? They are bereft in our country. While pompous and selfish ministers send their kids to international schools and foreign universities. The local Ghanaian who is being harmed instead of listening to words of truth will fight it with a closed mind and tell the man of God that he is an obroni who needs to go back to the UK. Instead of embracing his wisdom from the truth of God's word and crying out for change, we are happy to remain in this congested hothole, swatting flies and mosquitoes with our china electronics in our obroni wa wu clothing with our poor man's pride going nowhere to happen fast. May God have mercy on us!
