Well said, bro. I agree 101% with you that the church cannot and MUST NOT and watch a nation face wreckage. My beef is with the Men of God whose bravery is only witnessed during one political dispensation and then go mute when another is on. That's sheer hypocricy. Men of God are human and therefore have their baises and no one could fault them for that. But when they take such biases to the pulpit ostensibly to give an impression of speaking the oracle of God.....excuse me. Apart from being hypocrisy, I also think it is blasphemy. If you only find wrong economy during the tenure of one political party and go deaf/blind during another party's tenure, what kind of a spiritual watchman are you. How can God give a nation two sets of servants who see the economic stability or otherwise of the nation from two separate points of view. God is not mocked.

I doubt if Ghanaians are against "men of God" having a non-partisan but genuine opinion on political issues of the day. My personal axe is against PARTISAN POLITICS and especially UNINFORMED and naive attempts to enter the fray. I recall how Church leaders were bold and vocal in the past e.g. Archbishop Palmer Buckle in the 1980s when it was dangerous to do so. What I believe many detest is this blatant attempt of some pastors to disrespect government or political parties that are elected but do not suit their colour.

By all means let's have a healthy debate and all should take part but objectively and aimed at positive ratter than negative contributions.

I personally believe Dag Heward Mills was well meaning but misguided and ignorant of the facts but I disagree with the way he has been attacked by some. Other pastors and religious leders e.g. From the National Peace Council continue to provide critical but useful input into the national debate. We need to see more of that.

Archbishop Buckle has had his share of name-calling although you think he spoke when it was dangerous to. I think part of the problem is with us the people who decide what we think the pastors can say or not.

We need to as human and not to make these so called men of God who in may cases are men of the devil, because they are evil more than the evil if one is senseble enough to know and see thier way of living.

My problem is that, the first time I head his statement i was down hearted. If we are to be in a developed country where the people are matured then it couldn't had create a problem. At first I sees his statement as an attack to the NDC. I thank his tonation may be the problem. i have problem in the statement where my father said 'If Mahama said .... lets him do for us to see. I we were taught by them that we should pray for our leaders. This statements had created problem for majority of Christians in Ghana who babies.
