  Abdul Salam Allah bless you for this article.Dissolved Haj committee is a great shame.Only self interest no interest for pilgrims at all.Too bad,they embrace satan but not Allah.

  Actually organizing Pilgrimage in Ghana can be done better. During the last Pilgrimage the government did its best to make it comfortable for the intending Pilgrims including flying them from far and near to avoid discomfort and congestion. But for some reason some pilgrims were still left behind. This is because those who can do the job will not offer to do it but allow the same people who have been involved in it all the years to keep making the same mistakes. If Ghanians are organizing successful pilgrimage for Gambians why can't they do so for Ghana? It is not the matter of dissolving the current Hajj committee. It is a matter of getting the right people to do the job. In the era of IT why should people leave their homes to come and wait for days for flights that have not been properly arranged. Some of us can do better if given the chance and continuous serving on the committee should be based on previous performance by serving members. Watch and see; the old hands will smuggle themselves into the next committee if extreme care is not taken. I hope the President will remain resolute in the selection of the next committee and would not leave it to opportunist and shameless people who are prepared to tarnish the image of Ghana in the Kingdom for selfish gains. A distinction should be made between business travelers and genuine pilgrims. This is the key to the solution of the problem.

Some of us can do it better, and continuous serving on the committee should be based on previous performance.   Since the demand for a place to go on pilgrimage is more than the places available, the next Hajj Committee should make sure that only first time candidates should be considered.
  
  Some people have turn the annual pilgrimage to a trading route, going every year to trade. This practice should be discouraged.
  
  The Committee should let these "pilgrims" to know that Allah will not reward them for He knows everyone's intention. If you hide under the pretext of the Hajj to go for trade, Allah knows.

  Good article, but I think there is no way Ghanaians can organise hajj without the suffering always meted to our Muslim ummah in peforming their hajj starting the hajj village in Accra through the entire processes in Saudi Arabia and hajj village again in Accra. Until they stop meddling hajj issues with politics and also decentralise or if you want zone the commitee (Southern and Northern sector committees) and not always leaving hajj issues with people who pretend but not ready to do the job because of ALLAH SW. Looking at the amount of money paid yearly to perform Hajj, our Ghanaian muslim umma deserve much much better treatment during hajj processes.I have witnessed pilgrims crying tears at the hajj village after huge sums of money to perform hajj as a result of poor and irresponsible organisation by the hajj committes. Looking forward for a better hajj committee. Good job done JDM

  I just want to assure all Muslims in Ghana,that President Mahamma did it for the interest of Muslims and only Muslims.
  By the name of Allah the all mighty ,Prs. Mahamma has no personal interest at all.
  
  And what ever was stated about suffering and agents joking with peoples life and journey is right,and that is why he has devolve it and assigned Alhajji Tanco to create a new one with no ones interest,it should be totally neutral not belonging to any one except Islam and honesty.
