I have had this same idea for sometime now.Waste in Ghana now is a headache for the country as no one has any good proposition to resolve this menace.

Yes it will be rather nice for the various executives concerned to choose to get the dose of know-how from the Danes as you rightly said in your article. But it seems these days China is the buzzword in Ghana for every infrastructure development you care to name. China has come to mean cheapness for African developers, bypassing the required necessity of general safety in industry as well as reduced life expectancy of most infrastructure work carried out. But hey! who cares. Our developers in Ghana are only interested in what per centage(%) of costing come their way. Therefore we may yet see the crafty industrous Chinese lumping all these contracts for the building and hasty management of any Waste in all the municipalities of Ghana.

A brilliant article, something some of us have been thinking about for some time. Can you imagine what will happen to our environment if we happen to have these waste to energy plant in all the cities of the country, ie, Accra say 4, Tema =2, Kumasi =3, Takoradi=1, Capecoast= 1, Sunyani =1, Ho =1, Koforidua=1, Tamale=1, Wa=1, Bolgatanga =1. We will effectively be eliminating waste in the country, we may need to import waste to support our internally generated waste. Not only will this investment clean our environment, but also will provide us with additional energy resources for industrialisation. I am surprised no one is thinking about someting like this that has o lot of multiplier effect.
