  Eric, what an execellent piece. You must have lived in Bolga to know much about the Pito business. Your article reminds me of how growing up in Bolga in the 80s was very interesting. The Pito industry in the north particularly Bolga was very vibrant as vividly stated,providing source of income and work for our people.
  
  Eric, you did not mention one of my favourite pito bars, such "No challenger" in Bolga-Soe, "Awagele Yiree", "Atampubire Yiree".
  
  I agree with Eric, that with a bit of research, refinery, packaging and branding, Pito could be produced for the local, national and international markets.
  
  I hope and pray that SADA and the other authorities you mentioned in the piece will do something about the one time vibrant Pito industry.

  Hmmmm! Eric,it is not only the pito industry that is dying off, but also traditional industries such as basketry using the gunea corn stocks after harvesting its grains, the pottery and our local mat weaving undustries. All these traditional crafts have been taken over by the rubber industry producing such items as bowls, basins backets etc to the detriment of the once viable traditional crafts. I congratulate the people of the Upper East Region for still maintaining the some of their traditional crafts.
