I would have no problem if it was one of our local languages. Our own culture is dying, our languages, our values, etc. Why are we so quick to copy the wrong things from others? Japan became JAPAN when after the war many of them traveled abroad and returned with what they learnt to build their own country. In Ghana, these people return with the wrong ideas and our so called "educated" elites are quick to promote it.

He advocates for pidgin to be left alone and you kick against it when most schools in the Ashanti Region use Twi to explain English phrases in classes?

Leave pidgin alone!Jamaicans have made a language out of their version of English and it is beautiful. I guess you actually love it.

You may consider patoa as well, its equally good. I wish we could make this the official language, but since it will not be possible now, lets not forget that others who are proficient in it, also need to use it.
