Also, it is a shame that a known Presbyterian like Okoampa-Ahoofe will be a homo.I am not making that up but reading through this article, one cannot help but conclude that this guy is butty lover.

I happen to strongly support Lady Oye's stand on Human Rights, although I do not condone the act of ANAL INTERCOURSE practiced by homo- or heterosexuals. I have in previous articles responded to this issue with counter points of greater immoral and illegal acts perpetrated by most Ghanaians and all the chauvinists Ministers on the Panel vetting the Brilliant and Honorable Lady Oye Lithur than the actual practices of Homosexuals, which I must say none of us heterosexuals can be privy to, unless (clearing my throat), many of us are closet cases, pretending to be with the majority.

Oko Ampa, you see how glorious life can be, if and when you stay away from parochial (ethnic and tribal) discussions?

I strongly disagree with your assessment and response to Kwame's epistle as he made a clear case of the need for understanding a complex phenomenon as homosexuality. To fault Kwame on his style of writing also is rooted in your gaze of him, which I suggest you focus on the message not on the messenger. It has become so epidemic that almost everybody tries to pick on Kwame for sometimes his poor taste of views especially on his bashing of Ewes.
If anything, you can write a rebuttal of his pontification instead of attacking him.

Unless, you are very LOCAL, then your outburst will always be to condemn the unfamiliar. Make the unfamiliar familiar and the familiar unfamiliar to understand how the Self and Other can co-exist. Indeed, Kwame made an eloquent case on Prof. Martey position on homosexuality and suggested that Rev. Martey focus on those things that matter in his calling than dabbling in things that he (Rev. Martey) is either hypocritical or lack in-depth understanding.

The pulipit has become a powerful platform is always is and therefore the arrogance of those who mount the pulpit sometimes is worrisome.

Hiding under the guise of anonymity to castigate others is ending and you will be the first to face libel law suit. If Kwame disagrees with Rev Martey that foes not make him a homosexual.

This nation wrecking mindset will stop very soon. The long arm of the law will follow you no matter where you hide.

Focus on the substantive issue instead of being petty.

On many occasions, I disagree with Kwame because of his tribal bigotry, but for this article, it is hit. Well done Kwame!!
Besides, he is very decent to use his real name unlike 99.9% of us who are cowards and do not use our real identities, for this Kwame won my admiration. A giant in his stride.

Moderator Matey is simply not Godly. He appears to talk biblical but his practice, example and hie heart does not show it. Of course it is clearly stated in the Bible that it is okay to indulge in slavery, that for a man to shave his head is a sin and to wear cotton and wool is an abormination. Divorce was unlawful and against the christian practice but it is now accepted and easy to divorce lawfully. i remember the arguments that went on regarding working and shopping on Sunday. The Christian leaders quoted that it was a taboo and aborminable to work on Sunday but now they are the same people complaining that the time for Sunday shopping should be extended!!.
The moderator could be a scolar but we all know that the Bible was translated by authorities to suit their political, ethnic, ethnic, values and beliefs at their times therefore, many misintepretations, selective vocabularies/language etc were used to praise and suit the wuthorities e.g the king. Maybe Moderator Matey should re-visit the classroom to do more theological research into the origin of the Bible and ( Hebrew, Latin, Greek etc)must compare it to King James version Bible he now reads. In this morden world many people have access to the Bible and Koran etc and can not be fooled by the likes of Moderator Matey as it was in the many years ago when only the priest has access to the Bible and the people were denied it. Oye Lithur being a Human Right lawyer does not mean that she is a gay and supports homosexuals. She is right to defend them just like defending any individual or group of people. She is not condenming or judging the individual just like the 'holier than thou' Moderator. so does it mean that if a lawyer defends a criminal then heshe is a criminal? Let's stop this narrow mindedness but find a better way of moving our beliefs, culture and tradition to enhance our progress. Walk in the streets of Ghana, particularly, the cities and take note off the way our children dress and talk, their indescent and amoral dressing, moral attitudes and their beliefs and you would ask the big question- , where in Ghana has Moderator Matey being hiding.Does he close his eyes and just hide himself in the Bible and which part of the Bible. My be he does not believe in the New Testement. Like all little faith christians, who though God has given them them the brain to think and pray for knowledge and wisdom, they flipantly deny the Old Testement and justify that since Jesus the Old Testement no more applies. Oye Lithur will enter into the Kingdom of God than Moderator Matey.
