  2016 is too far away to know how Ghanaians will vote; we are yet to see Mahama’s first 100 days, which is usually a good judgment of how the rest of the term would be like.
  It does seem from your write up, that Ghanaians do not evaluate governments on achievements or failures but purely on some preconceived notions or tribal lines. I wish you had used incumbency as the factor to make this prediction instead of the Northern and Volta region factor.
  In my opinion it does not matter what developments are chalked by NPP in the North or the Volta region; or how they sweet talk them or keep mute, they will always vote for NDC. The problem with the Volta region’s stand is it hurts the region and is taking for granted by NDC. After all NDC knows that they will get the region whether they develop the region or not. Swing regions get developed by both parties because they can swing either way, even though to me it is stupid to develop based on how regions vote. The North, I guess I wouldn’t blame them for voting for their kinsman on top of the ticket. I have a gut feeling that a lot of top positions would go to Northerners resulting in a much needed development in the Northern section of the country.
  Technically, being labeled as an Akan party should not hurt NPP, after all they won in 2000 and 2004 and nothing has really changed since then as far as their party base. I think what the NPP should do is to galvanize and rein in NDC Akan voters in regions like Brong Ahafo, Central and the Western region. If there are able to win any one of these Akan regions above then they will be fine and that is more doable. There are enough Akans to make that happen. Why waste campaign resources on regions who will not vote for you? I like Bawumia and I think he is a good, but unfortunately, putting him on top of the ticket, I think would not make a difference, unless Mahama goofs gravely in the North but even then I think his people will give him another chance because of NDC's likability in the North.

The NDC is very guilty of hating the successfull Ghanaians and tends to humiliate them every time they have the opportunity. Nana Akuffo Addo is not tribalistc and not arrogant. Check out the nouveau riche in the NDC, NDC is also an ewe and pepefo party.
