You are putting the cart in front of the horse. You all keep calling these Chinese miners illegal but they are not illegal in the sense of the rule of law. When the Chiefs of the area took money from someone and give them a land to mine that miner is automatically legit. I know in Ghana contract means nothing to our people but in other cultures contracts have to be respected and they must be respected. Instead of the youth trying to force those who have payed their dues to mine a land they must attack their chiefs to ask them stop selling the lands waa waa!.And you as an educated person should never encourage buga buga. Especially when you know very well that someone at the top is choping big money for the chinese to be there.

It beats me to know how our elected visionless leaders can string us along some unnatural paths. One such worrying situation is our current poor leaders' association with some dodgy natives of some South Asiatic nations - with China now leading the list of foreign hooligans who are currently allowed to terrorise our people and engage in abominable criminal destruction of our previously unscarred farming lands. Anyone who has ever had the opportunity to travel to China will have some unfriendly sad stories to tell about Chinese welcome into their country and how the Chinese view and treat the black-skinned people in their country. For what reason then do our own corrupt political leaders bring these criminal Chinese elements into Ghana, if not just curiously to satisfy their own corrupt ends in undercurrent business. Arrested Chinese criminals should be kicked out of Ghana immdiately they're collared never to be returned - and those already here working illegally should be persistently harrassed to stop their illegal activities. The case of recent shooting in Amansie must clearly serve as a warning to our politicians what is in store for the unwelcome visitors, that the local people do not want the presence of these criminal Chinese on their lands and will continue to fight their illegal activities. Politicians are elected into parliament to serve and protect the security of the nation and citizens but not to sell our birth rites to the highest bidding hooligans.

As long as we continue to be passive, or afraid, and "fa ma Nyame" (leave it to God), our leaders will continue to sell us AGAIN to foreigners, not to far away lands in ships, but this time ON OUR OWN SOIL, and together with our minerals and labour. Nobody can tell me John Mahama, Tsatsu Tsikata, and those "friends of China" who have brokered many of these Chinese loans are NOT aware of the Chinese "illegal mining" activities in Ghana. For over 4 years, we have been shouting and looking to our chiefs, leaders and security personnel to put an end to this menace. The Chinese "illegal mining" with its environmental destruction continues. I applaud the youths for standing up for their sovereign rights. Ghanaians are peace loving people by our actions. The discrimination that most Ghanaians face in other countries has no place on our soil and that is why foreigners of all shades could be found in Ghana. To this end, I can chest out to say that Ghanaians have nothing against the Chinese nor any other foreign national in Ghana but the way things are going now give us cause for concern. The earlier our corrupt chiefs and Police officers who are supposed to protect the youth and the treasures of our land for now and posterity are brought to book, the better it will be for mother Ghana.
A Chinese who is not allowed to possess even a catapult in his own country, (not even the Police Service in China could possess a gun as they go about their normal duties) is now in Ghana and can own an AK47 assault riffle and has the courage to shoot at full blooded Ghanaians, without reporting the youth to the Police if they are really mining legally but decided to shoot at them.
To what extent has Ghanaian law enforcement officials sold their conscience for monetary gains to foreigners in Ghana?
Shame on you Ghana Police and the Chiefs of the area for selling your conscience for monetary gains and allowing these Chinese to be engaged in illegal acts at your backyard.
The youth have lost confidence in you and that is the reason why they will go their own way to ransack the illegal Chinese miners’ camp without engaging the Police. But in any case, are the police in the area saying they are not already aware of the illegal mining by the Chinese? …..And they are professional liars too. We know that eventually, the Chinese will be freed and they will carry on with their illegal activities. Afterall, this is not the first time we have heard of Chinese involving themselves in these kind of illegalities under the watch of the Chiefs and the Police.
It is really a shame on our chiefs for bowing to pittance and neglecting the youth of the area. As for the police, we all know and they know it themselves that they are corrupt beyond measure since antiquity but now they have managed to indoctrinate the Chiefs in the mining areas into this canker.
Long ago, when chiefs were chiefs, the community is protected and the youth had no basis to point accusing fingers at them. Is it not a shame that the youth could march to the chief's palace and accuse him of taking monies from the illegal Chinese miners to allow the illegality to triumph when he the chief should have reported the matter to the IGP if the area police are indifferent to the situation because of their complicity?
And yet this useless chieftaincy institution has a ministry that is resourced with the tax payers’ money.
I know neither the President, the IGP nor those paid to protect our land would take action but I commit them all to God almighty. It is a matter of time and we shall all see positive defiance at its best.
God have mercy on our motherland.
