  Creativity, Innovation and Progress happen in a culture of transparency and a climate of possibility. How can a Nation promote creativity when the basic necessities of life are denied its citizenry. No water, no power, not efficient transportation system-People spend hours on end moving from point A to B in Accra. These are the least our Governments can do for us. Ghanaians are hardworking and will create wealth for themselves if the atmosphere is right. If Politicians are found to be thieves, as is playing out in the ongoing Woyome and CP saga, and try to use unconventional means to perpetuate themselves in Power, then there is no hope for the people. That is why sometimes it becomes necessary to fight agaisnt what is wrong and unjust or perceived to be unjust. The status quo will not change if the good men sit down unconcerened and expect evil and greedy men to do the right. The ongoing political debate is good for Ghana. If the courts operate without coersion in the determination of the case before it, a precedence will be set for our future election that incumbent governments can not manipulate the will of the people to remain in power, but must do something to better the lives of the people if the people are to retain it in power. You are right we need to strip the dabate of all the insults and tribal sentiments, but alas we need to debate the issues. And hey, dont believe all the propaganda you read. If anybody wants to destabilize the country, an ECG transformer is cleary an unimportant target to select. Tere are more credible targets than that. So dont fall for the propaganda. check the source, Al-Hajj, and you will know the credibility of the story.

  Dear author, I share your sentiment about positivity in Ghanaian politics, however, I find your assertions that ALL the party leaders have Ghana and Ghanaians' best interests at the heart of their political ambitions to be rather naive and simplistic. What proof do you have to refute the fact that majority of politicians; be they in Scandinavian countries or Ghana are self-interested individuals? Indeed by virtue of the fact that voters tend to vote for political parties based on the parties' manifesto(i.e. what the party claims it will do once in power), means that by definition, politics is about self-interest. Modern day politicians from Ghana and elsewhere are too greedy, corrupt, self-interested, egotistical manaics to genuinely care about their voters. Politicians are there to serve NOT to be worshiped. The sooner Ghanaians demand that from their politicians the better off they are likely to be.
