The current leadership of the NPP would have done a great dis-service to their party and our country if all their allegations were based on hearsay and innuendo.
With their "banker" of 241,000 overseas votes evaporating before their eyes, it would be very difficult to amass enough doubtful votes to overturn the election results.
Th courts haven't pronounced judgement yet but if the NPP should lose, the current hierarchy should resign and make way immediately for a younger generation, if the party is to stand any chance of making a come back from this debacle.

"Responding to the plaintiff’s questioning the integrity of the voters who register in paragraph 6 of its response, the Electoral Commission stated “In answer to paragraph 12 of the Petition, the 2nd Respondent says that the initial provisional figure it announced of registered voters was 13,917,366.
After the conduct of registration of Foreign Service officials, students abroad on government scholarship, other Ghanaians working abroad in International organizations and the late registration of service personnel returning from international peacekeeping duties, it announced a figure of 14, 158,890 representing the raw entries in the Registration Database”.

The deathly silence of the NPP after EC's statement that no Ghanaian voted abroad is deafening. If there really was an issue with what EC said, the NPP would have organized 10 press conferences already. Why the silence on the part of NPP?
I voted NPP in 2004 and 2008 because I felt they were more enlightened and had better ideas for the nation. I was unable to vote last year.
If it turns out that NPP almost brought the nation to chaos and indeed almost killed the journalist of the year without any real evidence to back their claim, then they have a lot of explaining to do. Because Ghanaian will never forget the events after the 2012 elections

It was not just a difference of 2 or 3 names but a whooping 240,295 difference which cannot be disregarded for the sake of the petition before the Supreme Court . If the EC could make such a colossal misrepresentation of numbers then its integrity is very questionable and doubtful. We cannot trust anything they say. Would you ever trust your accountant again if you found such a discrepancy in your accounting books? You must be such a big dummy to do that. In addition to the evidence produced so far by the petitioners is this admission by the EC not further proof that the EC doctored the election results in order to help Mahama win the elections ? Stop the emotional rationalization for a moment and put on your thinking cap which you have temporarily misplaced and you'll discover the legal implications of the colossal misrepresentation of numbers by the EC. The EC and the NDC have just made their case worse.

You are talking about an issue that is not important in this case. Whoever the 705 or the 241,000 voted for is not important. The important thing here is that, the petitioners are asking the EC to produce the names of the 241,000 it answered on the petitioners questionaire. Read this paragraph and refresh your brains;
"Responding to the plaintiff’s questioning the integrity of the voters who register in paragraph 6 of its response, the Electoral Commission stated “In answer to paragraph 12 of the Petition, the 2nd Respondent says that the initial provisional figure it announced of registered voters was 13,917,366.
After the conduct of registration of Foreign Service officials, students abroad on government scholarship, other Ghanaians working abroad in International organizations and the late registration of service personnel returning from international peacekeeping duties, it announced a figure of 14, 158,890 representing the raw entries in the Registration Database”.
IT WAS THE EC THAT STATED IT REGISTERED 241,528 GHANAIANS RESIDING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY. NOW IT TURNS OUT ONLY 705 WERE REGISTERED. THIS SHOWS THE INTERGRITY OF THE EC FOR LYING INITIALLY. THE EC BLOATED THE ELECTORAL REGISTER FOR WHATEVER PURPOSE, THE EC IS FINDING IT HARD TO EXPLAIN.
