Woyome mmust be punished by returning whatever he has left of the money. And, just as importantly, those who were seduced into believing his story and paid government money for no reason, must also be punished. Woyome had no contract with the Government; rather he had been contracted by Waterville to organise the finance for a contract. He failed to do this, so the contract could not be made effective. It was not abrogated. Woyome is a con man.

The Appeals Court ruling is just a matter of common sense. When a court gives you a mandate to freeze a particular account belonging to a man. it does not mean freeze all of the man's accounts.

But Woyome worked with government's backing to get the Ghana government the sum of 1.2 billion euros. According to international best pratices, he is due 5% if the money is collected. If the kufuor government later decides they do not want the money again, Woyome must be given his 5% because they told him to work for the money for them. And in this case, the man did not ask for 5%. He asked for 2%. It is his. No court can stop him from getting his due
