The article shines light on the painful reality that most Ghanaians try to avoid. The mansion and the car cannot save you from a system that does not work.

Unfortunately the promise at independence is dead owing to the orgy of greed by incompetent and corrupt governments.

The dream has turned to frustration, even what the imperialist did for us has been destroyed, there were standing pipes in Kumasi, as well as public toilets Nkrumah time installed water closet at Kumasi kejetia what happened to it. Some of tend to measure like you quite rightly said by cars and houses, the government and the opposition are on hell bent not to take interest in the country but their own pockets, the some of the local chiefs are also doing exactly that, rather than show keen interest in their local education, sanitation and cleanliness, they don't seem to care, and we spend more money every year to celebrate so called independence, it is quite embarrasing because we have not achieved anything but destroyed everything we once had, shame.

I couldn't agree with you on your analysis of our country.Over and over again, I have questioned whether our independence was premature as our country is in the worst state than it's ever been. We need people who have the interest of the country at heart and not just in it to line their pockets. unfortunately majority of these so called politicians dont give a damn about anybody but themselves. Its really really sad, even though majority of them were educated abroad, they haven,t learned any moral values and empathy to govern the poor I'm afraid. Sad sad situation!!!
like J. J. and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Ghana has become a moron country
