Nana Konagu and her husband also stole caridem and [ has ] the audacity to 'shake' Mills administration for five million dollars. There is [a strong] evidence that, Rawlings and his wife own La Palm Hotel.

The problem right now is that, Rawlings and his wife have said too many bad things about Mills administration they've already crossed the [rubicon] and there is no way of turning back. This is the ministry that holds the secrets of the nation and they are operating from this building if it is a security risk?

My understanding is that the President sometimes work from this building, is that nit a security risk too? The said French Embassy has been in that place when Nkrumah was President, is Mills even worth to carry Nkrumah's sandals who operated from the same area? Who wants to Kill Mills? Are you telling me his house which has neighbors on every corner with security personnel defacating openly is better than the flagstaff house?

Who wrote this nonsense? Regimanuel is not constructing a toilet and rest place at Mills house, it is constructing a three bedroom with the latest modern accomodation for the President.

I am not going to accuse the Naval Officers of negligence of duty because they may not have the right to prevent the boat from sailing but the government should empower the Naval officers to have the right to stop any boat from sailing especially when this particular boat was overloaded.

Are you telling us, without the ECOWAS, this stupid Gambian government would not have killed the Ghanaians? ECOWAS has nothing to do with the lost of forty of our dear countrymen's Lives, if anything at all, a full implementation of ECOWAS might have saved them as they could have moved freely in Gambia, but their untimely death might not have been saved due to the risky nature of their journey and the condition in Gambia at that time when the government of Gambia have the information that, the opposition has recruited mercenaries from other African countries to carry out a coup operation. The Gambian government at that time was in a security mode to deal with any unusual movement of Foreign African nationals.

In as much as you have a point about the armed robbery situation in Ghana, the deportation of Nigerians will not solve the problem. I agree with you though for the government to beef up security, and deal harshly with any armed robber. The government also has to start checking these Nigerians, Liberians and other foreigners about their immigration status, residential addresses and their occupation in the country.

All non citizens should be made to register at the Police stations where they reside.

The Lebanese and all others should be made to follow these regulations. Though most of them are engaged in legitimate businesses, some of them are engaged in shady deals like drug trafficking and other vices in society that should be uprooted.

We should not though blame all these insecurities in our country on foreigners because most armed robbers in Ghana are Ghanaians and deporting all foreigners will not solve the problem.

One area the NPP government seems to be lacking is the security situation in the country and they should form an emergency commitee from the ministeries of Interior, Foreign affairs and the Justice and Attorney Generals department to co-ordinate resources and information. Form a special Task Force armed to the teeth, with patrol cars, mobile phones, two way radios and other equipments that are necessary to patrol our cities and towns 24\7 to combat this canker in our country that is retarding our progress to the next level of economic development.

Honestly, i am not necessarily against integrating various regional ministers to other regions where they do not hail from but trust me Mahama is not a stranger to the Presidency. So does it means that when he goes to sleep and wake up he takes decision. Later he changes his mind too? What politician wants to select a running mate and change him? Do you know what such a decision will do to a candidate?

The former President Bush was stucked with Danforth Qualye even after some Republicans appeal to him to dump him and select another Vice President to run with him in 1992. Doing that destroys your reputation as a flip flopper and not a good decision maker

Mahama was finding it difficult to appoint a Gonja or Dagomba or Mamprusii as Northern Regional Minister. Pressure was on him. It was getting late The solution was to bring a neutral person Bide Ziedeng from Upper West to become Northern Region Minister----- then the grand reshuffle of all the other Regional Ministers to balance the political minefield. Alhaji Muniru, a Minister from the North at the Presidency then has been sent to U East to complete the circus.

What was there to testify to? As ALEX has already alluded to, no individual was under prosecution but Mabey and Johnson company that has already admitted its culpability.

The only thing that was left for the Judge to decide was what punishment to mete to the company.

I really pet perplexed when seemingly well rounded People like you CORNEY resort to defending something that is not defensible. You are guys are even questioning why the Judge did not named the Directors who paid the bribes but named People who took the bribe as "Colonial mentality" protecting the BRITS while exposing the 'poor black African'. The Mabey officials were not named because they were acting for the Mabey&Johnson company without any personal benefits to themselves.

Yes, Federal and State courts would decide punishment phase of jurisprudence without inviting any witnesses when the trial phase has already been decided like in this Mabey and Johnson court case in LONDON.

CORNEY, there was no trila proceedings in the Mabey and Johson case because MABEY and JOHNSON has already pleaded guilty and cut a deal so there was no reason to call witnesses.

You have to bear in mind that, those NDC officials named by the court were not on trial and neither were they convicted of any crime. They were just named as some of the People who received bribes.

If they think they have been unjustifiably accused and their names smeared by the Court or Mabey and Johnson, they can go to court in England which has jurisdition over that case and sue Mabey and Johnson as Sika YANKEY has implied to do.
