This article makes a very superficial case of what could have been a profound and nuanced dissection of one self-absorbed salaud just plainly behaving badly on a public stage.

Chris Brown is a head-case with no sense of time, space or culture or head manners. The stories that have followed him since he bashed his girlfriend Rihanna to an inch of plastic surgery have shown what a self-absorbed and under-socialized twerp he is. In some circles even within the United States, Chris Brown would NOT HAVE BEEN INVITED to "serenade" the nation's youth because of the serious baggage he carries because of his past and present. And as I said before being an outspoken ganja smoker is the least troubling of them. Being a knowledgeable, astute, tactful, and prudent young man is. (When in Rome, one doesn't necessarily have to do as the Romans do, but a diplomatic nod to their laws and customs, especially when you are an invited guest, certainly goes a long way believe me .... If nothing else, the flagrant cussing and posturing was uncalled for, especially for a guest in the house. This is the obliviousness to cultural time and space I alluded to.)

The legendary Bob Marley made no secret of his love and veneration of the old "ganja weed, a.k.a. Lamb's Bread", but when he was in Africa, he made the case for his culto-religious persuasion way more diplomatically than this piece of human excrement made.

And just for the record while weare on this subject: there are States within the United States where Chris' public stunt may have resulted in at least some kind of citation, charge or arrest. (Ask Willie Nelson or Li'l Wayne and other American celebrities if you doubt my word.)

I really wish Mr. Saka's article had made a more serious and three-dimensional dissection of Chris Brown's grotesque public stunt while placing the blame squarely where it belongs, namely the people who invited this sorry excuse for a human being to serenade the nation's youth.

There is no debate: Marijuana is absolutely safer than alcohol, tobacco, and all prescription and over-the-counter medicines, while Prohibition, a costly nightmare that enriches both criminals and corrupt politicians, is a threat to us all.

Internationally, what many sane people are proposing, is to take the criminal aspect out of it, collect revenues from its sale, and instead of spending billions on doomed-to-failure enforcement, put it's 'taxable income' to work for the whole of humanity.

Prohibition has finally run its course: Our prisons are full, our economy is in ruins, the lives and livelihoods of tens of millions have been destroyed or severely disrupted. It's bad enough that Ghanaians are well documented weed smokers, now you have this article making such an issue a religious debate. If any of you have the courtesy to do your own research on the drug and realize it's almost-miraculous properties you'd be singing a different tune. As a Ghanaian youth that knows the ins and outs about this drug,(not to say I support it I urge my fellow countrymen to put their ignorant and un-informed prejudice aside, stop blaming everything on the devil(to validate your arguments) and educate yourself.
