Put that into perspective, fast forward to march 2013 and get your certified answer in block letters. I think, LONTO-BOY below just brush over a word and thus, “OVERWHELMED.” Capitalise on the said word and work your way back and forth the NDC chapter at the leadership of our late Mills and now president elect Mahama. Make your subtraction and addition and you may know what is really at stake.

Reshuffling of the regional ministers and the attempted renaming of the Flagstaff House was a failed effort of Mahama to shed the tribal political campaign he engaged in. As we recall, he asked northerners to vote for him because he was one of them. The country is now divided and he is finding it difficult to govern. He is trying to bring the country together with these two moves, but It appears he failed miserably. That is what he gets for playing tribal politics. He is doomed.

The truth of the matter is that,this strategy is to try to prevent these Babies with Sharp teeth, as someone put it sometime ago, from teaming up with the bad contractors to chop into the presidents accounts. The president has experience in this field. Sacking them or not giving them any post at all is not an option here since they will start to bring out secrets unnecessarily. The only solution is to keep reshuffling them until they become dizzy and give up. If they put you in a region where you don't even understand the local language it will not be easy for you.

Second, your conclusion that because I was from rural Ghana makes me poor is illogical. Yes, I am proud to have been born in rural Ghana and live part of my early childhood in rural Ghana. However, by the standards at that time, we were not poor. In fact, my grand parents were considered rich, especially, my grand mother who had her own cocoa farm and I saw other people come to her for financial help or loans.

I was also lucky to have an uncle who was held senior management positions in one of the public corporations and joined him in Accra at an early age. Through hard work I managed to attend some of the best secondary schools in Ghana and lived very affluent lives by the hard work of my uncle and his wife. We lived in places like Switchback Road near the Christ the King Catholic Church and MacCarthy Hill in Accra.

For your information rural people in Ghana do not hate or are not jealous of the rich and the elite in Ghana.

Kofi Attah was raised by his grandmother, like about 80% of Ghanaians, yet graduated from Cambridge University, works there, writes better English and speakes the same much more fluent than Akuffo-Addo, so what makes you think he is jealous of Akuffo-Addo.

From all angles, everybody would consider Kofi Attah much more hardworking than an entity like Akuffo-Addo.

Finally the wise know: the only thing that matters is how you make out of your own life and not who your parents were and how you were raised.

The decision of the president to reshuffle the regional ministers to regions other than their own is a laudable one.Tribalism which was an extinct word in Ghanaian parlance have taken unmeasured thrust into the very fabric of our society and if nothing is done about it,it will the tear the society apart.Even if the decision was an after thought,the end end result is what is important but but the process.Certainly perceptions creates their own impression so it is necessary to keep tab of that but that should not spoil the content.

I am glad that the blunder on the change of name has finally been resolved.Historical monuments and buildings have the story of their own and serves as a reminder to generations to come.In my opinion therefore I see no reasonable grounds for the change of name.The flagstaff House was the seat of government in the most progressive and the best period of Ghana's development.That was the place where the niche of Ghana as the beacon of black Africa was was born and nurtured! so that is history enough to keep that name.I believe the children in their adult life will understand the issues and will therefore be proud that the name was kept.

So far the going seem to be rough for president Mahama and the ndc but some of us can see the determination and the spirit to succeed.It is important that we give this government the chance and a reasonable one for that matter.The spirit to keep the government on its toes is a healthy one but it must be positive, balance and objective.
