Some top hierarchies of the party under the cloak of “member of communication team” did nothing but only spewed insults on the airwaves. It did us no good but only putted our self acclaimed intellectualism into question. This did not even allure our core supporters, how much more the floating voters who have more or less become deciders of who wins an election.
We attempted but on several occasions but failed to defend our inactions. How on earth could we have attempted to defend our “all die be die” mantra. Long after this rather unfortunate declaration, I thought we should have been bold enough to ask the Ghanaian for forgiveness or rather let sleeping dogs lie. But instead what did we do? Whenever we had the opportunity, we incorrigibly re-echoed a rather instigating phenomenon.
At my home whenever my father tries to go a little bit off-board, my mom do not hesitate at all to calm him down. But the mothers in our party failed to play this equally important role. More than often, I expected women like Ursula Owusu and Frances Asiam to calm down the likes of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Anthony Kabu, Sammy Awuku, Kojo Owusu Afrayie and the rest down when they let their passions go before them but it seems they rather needed help than I had thought. Others from the other side of the political divide might have been doing it but we forgot to remind ourselves that “two wrongs do no right” and it really served us right.

Miriam & Aaron attacked their leader Moses. Little did they know that they were attacking God who made Moses leader of Israel(Numbers 4:1-16). Akufo-Addo, in his bid for power, vilified Presidents Rawlings, Kuffour and Mills forgetting that he was not only attacking these persons but God who made them leaders, and who sets up Kings and Presidents. How can Akufo-Addo now desire the same presidency he spiritually vilified? Anyone who God allows to be president for even one day has the covering of God. This is a spiritual truth we must not ignore (Check David and Saul - David intentionally refused to kill Saul even though Saul wanted David dead - 1 Samuel 24:1-22) As Miriam was told to do, Akufo-Addo should stay out of active politics for a time, repent of his reckless & wicked attitudes towards leadership - including the leadership of his party, seek the face of God and one day this same God will lift him up. The botched peace-making visit to Rawlings before the December 2012 elections was a spiritually-guided direction at trying to make spiritual amends but it came too late, and out of contest. He should have genuinely sort the face of God first. Another false attempt was his prayer trip to Israel. God is not bothered or moved by praying at the Wailing Wall in Israel - Akufo-Addo needed first to repent and call his spirit and mouth to order. But Akufo-Addo has not changed. His involvement in the "all-die-be-die affair, the court case, and many other nefarious activities at covertly or overtly destabilising the country, even after elections, are ample proof of his un-renewed nature. He is therefore not useful to God as far as leadership of Ghana is concerned. He will remain unpresidential so long as he stays unrepentant. My advice: Akufo-Addo should take a break from actively wanting to be president of Ghana. He should seek the face of God sincerely, listen to his leaders and perchance the Lord will lift him again. Now, the NPP did not also help matters. The party went criticising everything and offered no better remedies. On a TV programme of 60 minutes NPP panelists would waste over 45 minutes criticising, attacking and talking about NDC, thus promoting NDC. The only thing the proposed different was the Free Education NOW Policy but many people read through the lie because NDC convinced many that no one could achieve the Free Education NOW between the January 7 2013 swearing-in and September 2013 when schools would re-open for the next academic year. NPP should know the difference between criticising and critiquing. This is what will save them. Indeed, Ghana is tired of the politics of insults, vilification, deep-rooted tribalism with a scandalous supremacist tendencies and character destruction. NPP should sit up as a big boy if not they will be out of Ghana politics for a long time to come. AKUFO-ADDO & NPP SHOULD BLAME THEMSELVES FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW TO THE PARTY

Why I believe Nana Addo simply lost the elections.He campaigned very hard on the Free SHS in 2008 and lost but he tried the same campaign again in 2012 always failing to explain how he was going to fund the policy if elected.In 2012,he made a mess of himself in the BBC interview concerning the funding.Finally,he came with the planning,costing and funding during the campaign but none of them was convincing enough.Let me take the funding for example.Nana Addo said he will use the oil revenue to fund his Free SHS if elected.At the last president debate he was asked how he was going to fund FSHS and unfortunately he pointed out that the oil revenue will take care of that.Prez Mahama quickly rubbished that option by saying 70% of the oil cash is already being spent in every Budget and the 30% goes to Heritage Fund,that was the end of the FSHS unrealistic funding.Nana Addo wanted to sell his FSHS at all cost but his last campaign Takoradi was catastrophic.The people told him to change his plan because Western Region expects govt to use some portion of the oil revenue to develope there.After the elections, NDC won more majority in parliament with a very big margin.I have never seen here in Ghana where a Candidate for the minority Party wins the Presidentials.I want somebody to tell me the last time a Presidential Candidate for minority party won the polls.Thank you.

1. Right from the 2008 elections, several of us predicted that the presidential and vice-presidential candidates of the NPP were both non-winnable. Several NPP big wigs knew this. They said "Nana Addo would lose the election. Let him go and lose then we can choose another leader."
2. The NPP delegates chose the flagbearer based on emotions, sentiment and how much money they were bribed. They said Nana had struggled for the party from the Kume Preko marches. They did not say how he and Paa Willie destroyed the party by forming the UNC , which badly split the votes and ultimately led to the NPP defeat in 1979. Victor Owusu cursed Nana. He said Nana would never be president to Ghana.
3. Nana Addo was not appealing to the masses. Many perceived him as arrogant, out of touch and not fit for the job. His life-style, his character, his demeanour and his language (apart from his English accent) did not woo the voters.
4. He was told that Bawumia was not well known in Ghanaian political circles. He chose him out of spite. Bawumia's family background was all NDC. His professional background was in Banking. He was too young and too fresh, lacked experience, yet Nana defied the majority in the party and selected him. Look what happened in 2008? He was unrepentant. Despite the advice by PC Appiah Ofori, Kennedy Agyapong and the rest that Bawumia could bring no votes to the table, Nana Addo went ahead and chose him again in 2012.
5. What a disaster. His tactics were all wrong. The same free SHS was not enough for the people. They just did not like him. They did not want to vote for him. He lost the Parlimentary by a wide margin. Is he trying to say that several who voted for their MPs, voted skirt and blouse? That is a lie. He is in denial and only deceiving himself.
6. Nana Addo run a catastrophic campaign. His advisers had inadequate training, ineffective planning, lacked sound campaign strategy and just relied on tit for tat insults to draw attention to themselves.
7. Nana Addo should sit down and think very carefully about his own role in destroying the chances of the NPP for his personal gain. He is now completely finished and should be relegated to the political dustbin in history. He tried twice and failed abymsmally on both occasions. He is trying for a third time, I suppose, that is why he is challenging the results. Even if he manages to secure a re-run of the presidential elections, he is likely to lose again and again. He lives in an illusion. My advice to him is to concede defeat and retire gracefully. His time is OVER. He will destroy the NPP by the time all this is over.. Several have crossed carpet and more are defecting on a daily basis.
Conclusion
The NPP needs to go back to school. They need to take advantage of the time that they are in opposition to restructure the party, give good training to the foot-soldiers, delegates, all their members, including the MPs and prepare for 2012 and 2016. They need to look at their resources and how they distribute or allocate tasks and resources. Not an old boy's club, or funeral club, but how a political party should be run. Not on tribal lines, but on the most competent. The Communications team should be revamped. The politics of insults will inevitably bring about their downfall. They are embittered, confused and lashing out which will only destroy the fabric. It will result in washing their dirty linen in public and revealing stuff that will be used against them by the opposition, come 2016 campaign. If the court case does not go their way, several of the disgruntled youth may be suicidal as they have pinned all their hopes on getting a post.....

If you were any serious observer of the campaign, you would have heard time and again that the idea of the free SHS, however ill-conceived, was based on the notion that an educated manpower was required for the diversification of the economy through industrial transformation. The lying NDC brigade deliberately mounted a campaign reducing the NPP's pledges to free SHS apparently because Nana had tried to, and quite correctly, link female literacy to reduction in maternal mortality. I was one of those who believed that while the NPP may have a case in going to the Supreme Court, they should forget about the case and prepare for 2016. That was in January 2012. By March, it has become quite clear that if indeed the elections were rigged, then it's better to seek redress rather leave this country in the hands of this incompetent, corrupt cabal led by Mahama. How dare you insult our intelligence by pretending to be NPP in order to propagate your vicious lies.
