  I find it strange that you found neither time nor space to treat the disbanment of the CPP by people who were supposedly enlightered democrats from our body politics and its effect on the development of our democracy and the safeguard of individual rights and freedoms. Neither was any mention made of the famous 'No court' declaration by Busia as well as its effect on judicial independence. Significantly, i would very much have loved to know your take on the Protective Custody Decree passed by the Busia regime which, by all credible accounts, was more obnoxious than Nkrumah's PDA. By the way, which of the two in your view is preferable: the person who makes no pretensions about his love for democracy and naturally ends as a demi-god or the one who carries himself out as an apostle of democracy but when given the opportunity ends up like a super-god?
