President Mahama should recognize that he must exercise extreme power to maintain the stability of this Nation. NDC when in opposition never goes to such extremes. Supposedly, the NPP are democrats and hence believe in the rule of law. But increasingly, the good people of Ghana now know better as evidenced by their actions of late. These are a bunch of anarchist and arsonist. The Ghana Police Service which is the direct arm of judiciary has the sole duty to serve and maintain law as well as order in Oman Ghana as mandated by our constitution. The security forces thanks to the Ghana Police Service plays massive role in our internal security and peace. Yes all is not well with the Ghana Police Service whose motto is service with integrity but the NPP cannot do as they wish for none of them is above the laws of Maame/Daavi Ghana. They have to respect the preamble of Ghana which is the constitution. Period! No ifs, ands or buts.

Look Maggie; the behavior of NPP today is the same as in the 50’s and 60’s. The mango does not fall far from the tree. The NPP don’t obey law and order. They provoke and stretch the patience of the state to the limit to react and when actions are taken against them they cry foul of police state; claim their innocence and what not and then turn around to play the victim. It is an old Mate Mehu trick. We know these crooks from time immemorial.Their intention is to defame the present government by whatever means possible but discerning Ghanaians must not bite the bait. Their forebearers terrorist actions in the 50’s led by NLM Asafo warrior Baffour Akoto provoked the enacting of the PDA in 1958. Theses peasant brutes are simply lawless and above all primitive whether educated or not with a few exception. The NPP cannot take the law into their hands to fit their whims and caprices.

Since when did anyone authorize the NPP to be security men, judges and executioners all in one? They may call a private detective or an independent body for further investigation but cannot prevent or interrupt the state investigators which in this case are the Ghana Police Service to do their work. This is an act of deliberate obstruction/disobedience or disregard for the state laws and regulations. This is tantamount to contempt of state laws and as such punishable. In any civilized country his license to operate as a lawyer would have been long withdrawn.

See Maggie, pride and ignorance are akin and some people are born that way. In fact I am not so sure whether God has antidote against brutal stupidity. The scholars of ancient Greece like Aristotle, Plato etc found out that against stupidity the gods themselves struggle in vain. These peasant folks who were running half naked should thank their stars that Kwame Nkrumah made education free to enable them to get some form of education. Apparently, it did not work out for a leopard cannot change its spots. A brute will always remain a brute no matter how.

In fact, the abysmal stupidity of the knucklehead Johnny come lately Owusu Afriyie is an insult to the men and women in uniform and this idiotic secretary of the NPP who opens his mouth before he thinks should render unqualified apologies to the security forces and criminal investigation division (CID). A whole foreign ministry building costing millions of dollars which was once occupied by Akufo Addo was gutted by fire. Thousands of strictly confidential government files were burnt to ashes as investigations was being carried out on anomalies under Akufo Addo’s tenure. Should the people of Ghana suspect Akufo Addo? This bare faced dishonesty of Mate Mehu NPP will be their downfall.

All of a sudden the entire police unit is NDC. All of a sudden the whole armed force becomes NDC. These warmongers are suspicious of their own shadows. Could it be that the NPP is not trustworthy which is why they suspect everyone to be sinister?! Why didn’t the NPP government during Kufuor’s tenure allow independent investigation into the Ya Na’s case? Why didn’t the NPP allow independent investigation as to how Mobila’s died? There are 1001 and questions to be answered by NPP. Instead of them wasting their time and energy in such useless comedy endeavours/litigations which is discrediting them by the day if not the hour; they may be best served if they channel it in the preparation of 2016 elections. As they say preparation is everything.

Before I quit, should I be cynical in saying that the car accident of Bawumia is a stunt that went terribly wrong? Otherwise the NPP should allow the authorities to do their work. Basta

The Ghana Police is not controlled nor owned by any political party, of course there are elements within who have political and tribal leanings, still majority of police personnel have some degree of integrity. Now that being said, I strongly believe that it is incumbent upon NDC faction to counter these actions on behalf of their party, leaving President Mahama out of the equation and without blame for any consequence's arisen from NPP's arrogance.

I believe that their entire premise is to destabilize the Nation, but entrapping law enforcement under NDC rule to become brutal, then hopefully the world and gullible citizens will sympathize with the culprits.

We the citizens of Ghana should take the law into our own hands and deal with these distractors and nation wreckers, to give President Mahama some cover and peace of mind at his desk!

Please Mrs. Jackson, it is about time you practiced exactly what the NPP has taught you...give a directive to all Good Law Abiding Citizens to Stand their Ground and hit back at the NPP goons. Afari Gyan of the EC legally declared John Mahama of the NDC Party as the winner of the Dec.2012 general elections in this country. Thereafter, J.Mahama was dully sworn in as President of the whole country. J.Mahama,the president, remains president of the country until the Supreme Court in the unlikely event overturns the EC's results. For now President J.Mahama is the president of this nation. Any agrieved person or group of persons who may choose to violate the laws of the Land must simply be made to face the Laws of the Land squarely. This Nation does not belong to any political party, not even to the ruling NDC party talk less of A MINORITY PARTY. For ghanaians the elections are over. A president has been elected. The country must move on. The whole Nation is waiting for the ruling in the election petition case pending at the Supreme Court. The NPP must give ghanaians a break. Infact they must stop behaving as OUTLAWS, period. The leadership of the NPP must live to expecation. J.Mahama and the NDC must be assertive in their capacity as the ruling party with majority membership in parliament. There is a local proverb that translates thus: "A WEAK HUNTER'S DOG CANNOT CATCH A GAME". Our president can never be that "WEAK HUNTER". Mr.President!! Do something before you die. I don't understand the Ghana Police Service. A law is broken, take action, you are dragging your feet. IGP, you don't need anybody, not the Attorney General, not the President to show you your work. 24 hours after the accident, seeing that your men in the north are having problems what prevented the IGP from calling the leadership of NPP in Accra and prevailing upon them to report to the local police with the vehicle, before Sir John could poison the air? I am amazed, by the lack of prompt action, NDC has been reluntanctly drawn into the issue, and all objectivity is lost. There are very many discerning members of the NPP leadership who know and are prepared to allow the rule of law obtain in Ghana, so IGP, establish the rapport with such personalities, they would be of tremendous help in times like these.

NPP said that they do not respect the votes of people from Central Region, Upper West, Upper East, Volta and Northern Regions. NPP said that they will not allow anybody from those regions including the Greater Accra Region to become president, because they believe that Ghana and the people residing in it are the property of Akans, and that is what exactly the case NPP send to the Supreme Court of Ghana is saying. NPP case in the Supreme Court of Ghana confirms what was denied by NPP executives when they said there are no people in the Volta Region to cast votes. Thus you can cast vote in Ghana only if you are an Akan, that is what exactly NPP is saying and unfortunately the Supreme Court of Ghana is condoning that.
We heard some NPP executives saying that no other person apart from an Akan can be the president of Ghana, and not even a Nfanti, who is an Akan. If there is the likely-hood that Mr. Mahmudu Bawumia will be elected as the flag bearer of the NPP hence he must be removed from the scene.

It is unfortunate that a small group of irresponsible and arrogant cliques have become a law unto themselves in this country.Some times we tend to blame the police for not doing their work and leaving these cliques to do whatever they please.But have we asked ourselves whether the authority the police have is protected against these powerful people.Until this anomaly of order from above mentality is eliminated we will continue to have these problems where some people because of their connection act as if they are above the law.We need to change our attitude and empower our police to do their work without fear or favour.Sir John could misbehave because he claim he can make the country ungovernable and even the government seem to afraid of him so how much more a poor policeman.

What is wrong, Mr. Margaret?

I have been staying in Europe and especially,in The United State of America for some years now, and what i know is that some institutions like the Insurance and the Ambulance Services are highly effective and these work in conjunction with the Police Department. This is not so in Ghana.
I therefore do not understand where Mr. Margaret is coming from when he wrote among others,

And I quote:

"..Whoever towed the vehicle without allowing the police to perform their duty must be arrested and prosecuted...".

"..I know very well that in the United States if you are involved in an accident, you do not leave the scene of the accident until the police comes to the scene..."

This is because of the Law. The insurance system and the Police Department.

"....Bawumia schooled in the United States, and is very much aware that if his accident had occurred in the United States and he had left the accident scene and also towed his vehicle without the authorization of the police, he would have been charged. These are a bunch of people who want to rule Ghanaians but have no respect..."

Why is Mr. Margaret showing his ignorance here and comparing apples with oranges?

The system in The United States Of America is different from that in Ghana?

While it may be desirable to have a humble and likeable leader, history has shown and continues to teach us that those who showed that they had balls or leeches between their thighs and were decisive in their actions were the most successful. You can't run a country solely on pious platitudes or religious convictions. That suerly will be a recipe for disaster. Ask Jimmy Carter.
