Nevertheless, some from the NDC are genuinely not happy with what is going on and see a lot of sense in your writing. I think judging from the signs of the time, Ghana is ripe for the second phase of the struggle for independence started by the political godfathers of Ghana including J.B Danquah. The new struggle for independence for Ghana is not against western imperialism but against black and evil forces of lies, corruption,organized political crimes, institutionalized culture of insults in our political discourse, stealing, manipulation and obscene robbery from the national till. These are forces that are holding Ghana back. Otherwise, how can we explain the fact that 56 - years after independence Ghanaians have been forced to live without water and electricity and our roads have been turned into death traps that continue to claim the lives innocent Ghanaians. Ali baba and the forty thieves have to be supplanted and tried for crimes against humanity. The question is who will bell the cat??

It's because of people like you that have enabled corrupt and incompetent politicians to take an entire nation for a ride year after year, administration after administration. It doesn't matter who's in power, we, the people, have to protect our collective interests and rights.

  There you go,throwing your pram out of the cot again.Decent, levelheaded Ghanaians acknowledge the valiant effort by the Peace Council and others to sustain the relative peace that we so often take for granted.The issue in discussion is an ill thought out attempt by a besieged government to send pastors on a freeby to Israel.What has that got to do with a council constituted by different religions?We get it. Like a lot of other Ghanaians, you are peeved at the outcome of the election and believe the NPC should have usurped some phantom constitutional authority to bar the EC from performing it's mandate of declaring a victor.Some of us have got our own views on why the NPP managed to lose a winnable election and I don't necessarily believe it was all the ECs fault either.We're now in a position where the SC will determine whether there was an "epic fraud that was the Gyan-Mahama electoral collaborative". When it does and the decision is not as expected, I hope you'll learn to move on from an increasing tired rhetoric.

  OPEN LETTER TO REVEREND MARTEY,
  We wish to draw your attention to a statement you made recently with respect to sponsoring of Muslims to hajj by Government.
  It must be noted that Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and it is incumbent on all who are favoured with both financial means and the physical strength to embark on.
  By virtue of its unique nature and also as it has to do with doing it in a different geographical area, the Saudi government corresponds with all countries globally as to update on their rules of stay and conditions one needs to abide with while in Saudi. This is where government comes in to ensure that its citizens are educated and inform as to what they are to do and carry on their holy journey.
  It is therefore sad to hear that as one of the most respected reverends, you made such an ill informed statement. Government sponsoring Muslims to hajj perhaps might be great, looking at the quantum of challenges Muslims faced in this country.
  It is of important to bring to fore that the young Ghanaian Muslim had a lot of prejudices to endure from all sectors of our national agenda.
  But in all these, the Muslim ummah keep mute just for the sake of peace and mutual co-existence.
  The leadership of the Muslim ummah, i.e. office of the national chief Imam, federation of Muslim councils, Ghana Muslim Mission etc, have for a long time been relating with the Christian leadership in all religious matters just to exhibit the religious tolerance and peace among all religious bodies in the country.
  Of late, certain utterance and attitudes of some of the leaders of the Christian faith and their followers against the Muslims in the country is becoming worrisome. In no time we shall bring public notice some of these negative actions being done to the Muslim of this
  country.
  We will like you to honourably withdraw your statement on Muslims being sponsored to hajj and apologize to the Muslim leadership and the entire ummah in this country and hope that in future as a leader you show circumspection in your deliveries especially on matters relating to
  Pentecostal and Charismatic council
  the Muslim of this nation and be guided by virtues of trust, truth, sincerity and peace for the sake of our dear nation.
  God Bless our homeland and peace, unity and love to all.
