If Justice Kpegah is still occupying a government bungalow reserved for active service members of the judiciary after 5 years of his retirement, Ghanaians should know the type of character he is. He should pay the rent of the last 5 years and vacate the building. He should honorably go to his village where he belongs, and remain there until he dies.

As for Nana, he will go ahead and become the president of Ghana. There is every reason to believe that he would win the case, and this is why the NDC card holders are doing all they can to delay the process. You can't rule this country based on fraudulent elections for ever. We are glad that Nana is finding a solution to the NDC problem.

Judge Kpegah has never claimed that Nana has not been called to the Bar. He has never claimed Nana has not distinguished himself as a brilliant Lawyer.Judge Kpegah claims that, there is another person by the name W.E.D Akufo-Addo who attended a law school in England and who was called to the bar. It will be proven that after completing his studies at Legon with a 3rd class degree, Nana went to work with a law firm in England not as a lawyer but as a paralegal and moved on to France where he continued as a paralegal in 1971.

It is impossible for Nana to be called to the Bar in England at a time when he was working as a paralegal in England and France.

Judge Kpegah is claiming that Nana has conveniently adopted the name W.E.D Akufo-Addo
and used the name to gain admission onto the Bar register in Ghana. In essence he was not the person called to the Bar in England.

If this is true then the claim that he is a Ghanaian lawyer called to the bar is fraudulent and void. His name will appear on the register as called to the Bar but his admission was obtained by deception.

This will raise a number of important issues. Those he has represented and lost their case will be trouping to make a claim against the firm. Thos he won against will probably be making a case for retrial.

The name calling should stop, since it will only strengthen the resolve of Judge Kpegah. This has a serious implication for the Law profession and must be handled carefully. It has a serious implication for another important person.

If you disagree with the author can you please state your basis for disagreement without insulting? I am not sure the Ghanaian culture is one that upholds insults. I am probably wrong about that, unless we are a hypocritical lot who would speak courteously face-to-face but resort to insults behind our perceived anonymity of the internet.

He has said before that it was he who repealed criminal libel and he'll never do anything to take away freedom of speech. At the 2012 IEA debates, Nana argued that it was better to have people making mistakes in freedom than gagging their speech. This is a principled man that has also shown maturity and grace. His detractors know this and are taking undue advantage of it. This is why Nana Addo is easy target for the NDC propagandists. The day he sues one of them, they'll turn round and accuse him of destroying what he claims to be his record of promoting free speech.

This piece to all intents and purposes seeks to take away the very ignomy that has been occassioned by a retired member of the supreme court in the person of Justice Kpegah and his frivolous and malicious writ which, does nothing for the NDC and the issue of rule of law, in the court case that has been brought against John Mahama and the EC. In an effort to take away histime from the substantive issue at astake, which is the fraudulent declaration of John Mahama as President, Justice Kpegah has rather sunk extremely low and posterity would judge him for the role he tried to play, in circumventing the cause of justice, in a case in which, the very credibility and legitimacy of a President is being questioned. The issue would be addressed in due course, but the very important matter at the supreme court, would have to be expeditiously adjudicated, to satisfy Ghanaians about the winner of the just ended elections and the NDC, Justice Kpegah, John Mahama and the EC cannot run away from this very fact.

I used to admire Bukor's predisposition to dealing with pressing national issues as well as the elements of neutrality in his writing, even though he never hide his strong loyalty to NDC. It seems to me that Bokor is gradually losing it. We have far more important issues that calls for attention, such as the Dumso-Dumso and water shortage we are currently putting up with. Who cares whether Akufo Addo sues his detractors or not. I am not sure how much damage that has caused him this far. He may have lost the two elections he contested, but he secured quite an overwhelming votes. You could say that the vote he had is a reflection of our tribal politiking, and I would reply that it is the same thing that favoured the NDC as well. Dr. Bukor, my advice is that you find more serious national issues to invest your energy, before you become one Prof.Okoampa-Ahoofe, whose writing I have stopped reading since last three years.

I agree with your observations. Akufo Addo is his own worst enemy. He simply has too many skeletons in the closet. Despite all the public promtings, challenges and provocations to open the closet and prove his innocence even just in only one case, he is too afraid to do so because all the hidden skeletons would roll out proving and worsening his culpability.

Akufo Addo has saddled himsef with too many provable allegations and gossips. If he dares open his mouth to answer even one rumour, he stands the chance of being forced to expose himself to an avalanche of all the others.

Silence is now his only refuge. This self-imposed silence is a strong suggestion that Akufo Addo is finished. The smart ones in the NPP know this very well. They would be wise to find a way to re-group and plan a better strategy for the future without Akufo Addo.
