You see, Adofo's English is really not very good even though he has been living in England for many years. (Adofo is in his 60s and may not be much younger than Kpegah or Akufo-Addo). When he says "white legal brains" he doesn't think of all the possible meanings of that phrase except the one that is on his mind.

But I think I know what he means. Since lawyers wear white wigs (a practise Ghanaians took from the British and are foolishly holding on to), Adofo only means white-wig donning members of the legal profession who must be experienced to wear that wig. Not every lawyer does.

Another figurative meaning of his term is that old and experienced lawyers will have grey hair and moustaches/beards. Since these are white, he refers to them as white legal brains. So his use of the word has nothing to do with the skin of the lawyers he says he consults.

If you think of it this way, you will understand him and it makes sense. I still think Adofo is a senile white (grey haired) fool who is on pension, has nothing to do but write articles in support of someone he doesn't really even know all about.
