The guy flips primary schoolyard Ananse stories to "truths" and go on to expound pure trash for people to consume as scholarly articles. And like charm he sometimes gets like-minded highly uneducated people to march in step with him, as the above Amankwah has proven.

Listen to Sargaparee: "Now that you are the Prime Minister of the Republic of Ghana, what is the fate of the National Liberation Movement (NLM) with” Mate-meho” as its local name? Dr. Busia’s shameful answer to the late Asante King was this; Nana we Have Discarded, The National Liberation Movement. In re-action the Asantehene politely nodded his head in disbelief and gave a very nice smile towards Busia but he never added a word because he was a traditional diplomat." Really, from where did you hear this Sargaparee? Where you in the room when this so-called exchange took place? How old are you son? Listen small man that is the kind of stuff you can only hear at elementary school playgrounds.

Sargaparee makes up his own “toli” and goes on to offer that as truths. He believes in his own baloney and lies.

I have dug a bit about this Sargaparee from reliable sources – from people who know him very well from PNDC days to NDC1. He is said to have found his voice in the PNDC days, drawing oxygen and self-importance from his status as a lackey "cadre". He is a known name-dropper, who will go to extreme lengths to impress those he chances upon by dropping the names of the "big people" he is friends with. Too often he will drop Rawlings name, as if the mere mention of it should put the fear of God in people’s hearts and do his bidding. A Dagarti friend of mine who knows him very well says his fellow Dagartis in the Obuasi area have nicknamed him "empty boaster". He said to me, Eric don't mind Sargaparee, "wo ye huuhuu". He is noted for making up fantastic claims.

Sargaparee please stop churning out embarrassing articles that betray you as very lowly educated scoundrel. Class dismissed.

Only one person was killed during this period in Asante. This was when a member of Francis Kofi Nwea's(Alias Kwame Nkrumah, alias Kwame Adaagye), called Tumasi Ankra from Nyanahin, mureder his unsuspecting friend, Yaw Bafo, by pushing him against a live electric wire and stabbing him in the heart with the now famous "Bafo akotoma". Twumasi Ankra was subsequently hanged by the colonial governement. Of course several people were injured during disturbances by Nkrumah's henchemen, the CPP and NLM.
If he wants to know about gratuitious violence, this pepeni idiot should go back to his his people who routinely kill themselves in the thousands over fouls.

Nonsense. How many degrees (I mean PhDs) did Busia possess? The acronym Best University Scholar In Africa - BUSIA - was the creation of his village men whose perception of Africa was limited to their narrow horizon. He only struggled to acquire a PhD in Philosophy and it all ended there.

Check out from the book "Makers of Modern Africa" edited by Ralph Uwechue. Look for Dr. Raphael Ernest Armattoe. He and Busia were contemporaries. Dr. Armattoe (born 1913) had his Cambridge School Certificate at the age of 12 (Mfantsipim College), went to Germany to study science and medicine at the University of Leizig, French literature at the Sorbonne in France and finally ending up in Ireland for his post-graduate medical studies. He had three PhDs (Physiology, Anthropology and Philosophy). He established his own research laboratory in Londonderry, Ireland. He was the Nobel Award runner-up for Physiology in 1948. He died 1953.

With those foregoing credentials of Dr. Armattoe, there was no way Busia could be called best university scholar in Africa. Do you hear?

What the Ashantis did is no different from that of today's Texas in USA, Biafra in Nigeria, , Quebec in Canada, Kurdistan in Iraq, the Scotts/Irish in the UK, Falklands in Argentina, Sicily in Italy, Catalonia/Barcelona in SpainBavaria in Germany, Monaco in France, Taiwan/Hong Kong in China and the formal break up of the old Soviet Union. Autonomy is something that can never be taken away from the people forever. And as far as the central government becomes irrelevant in the lives of the free and hard working people, the more the aggitation will grow for a return to independence. Looking at the situation in Ghana whereby people pay taxes and the gov't decides to spend the treasury at will, buying useless laptop which is two times the price of high end ultra brand eg Apple, sending a bunch of bootlickers on a useless pilgrimage and dashing money out to cronies while at the same time an interchange which was started 5yrs ago lies dormant making traffic unbearable. The article makes no sense.Before Busia came to power in 1969 the NLM had long disbanded and amalgamated with the bigger Northern Peoples Party of Dombo to form the United Part(UP).Before the country became a Republic in 1960 The Asantehene had had favours from Nkrumah through negotiations by Krobo Edusei an Ashanti hero in order not to disband chieftancy in Ghana.Nkrumah had threatened to disband chieftancy on the basis that there were no Kings in a Republic country.1969 the BA region had been created so the Ashanti confederacy was all but in a name.When Busia came to power the Asatehene was very ill and nearing his death and had no interest in politics.
