  A young woman goes to her doctor after noticing two small circular rash marks one on each side of her inner thigh.
  
  The doctor instructs the woman to undress and sit on the table and spread her legs. Sitting between the young womans legs, the doctor looks up at the young woman and asks if she is a lesbian.
  
  The young woman blushes and says, "Why yes I am." The doctor stands up, and tells the young woman, "Don't worry your rash will go away." The young woman asks what she needs to do. The doctor says, "Go home and tell your girlfriend that her earrings aren't real and she should come and have a pill called TRYDICKAGAIN"

  When dealing with matters of biblical interpretation one always needs to keep in mind the role of
  the authority of the Bible in matters of faith and practice. While the Bible is an important witness to
  the relationship between God and humanity, it is not the ultimate revelation of God.
  It is time we stopped making an idol out of the Bible. It is time we bring philosophical and rational
  thought—especially what the sciences have told us about sexual orientation and identity
  development—into conversation with the Bible.
  
  The story of the city of Sodom, Genesis 19, This story is not a condemnation of homosexuality, but is a story about rape and inhospitality. In other biblical texts (Ezekiel 16:49, Luke 17:28-29) Sodom’s ‘sin’ is not identified as homosexuality, rather, their sins were pride, failure to help the poor, and lack of hospitality to foreigners.
  
  People who practice homosexuality face discrimination because of societal attitudes. Sadly, these
  attitudes are often taught by churches and, unfortunately, the Bible is frequently used as a weapon to
  insults lesbians and gays. It is important to remember that such hurtful things are not a reflection of
  Christ, or the way God wants the church to be, or even what the Bible really says. The word ‘homosexuality’ is a modern term and did not exist during biblical times. Biblical writers
  had no concept of sexual orientation or sexual development as we understand those today.
  Therefore, passages that reference same-sex sexual activity should not been seen as
  comprehensive statements concerning homosexuality, but instead should be viewed in the context
  of what the ancient world that produced the Bible understood about sexual activity.
  
  It is time we listen to the experiences of God’s gay and lesbian children who know with all their hearts that God has created them just as they are.
  A 12-year-old boy made a moving speech in support of gay marriage before a senate judiciary committee as they decide whether to allow same-sex unions in Rhode Island.
  Matthew Lannon, who is in the sixth grade, spoke about the relationships of his two moms and two dads. He said: 'If there’s one thing you don’t mess with in life, that’s love.' God loves the person but he hates sin.

  Thank you brother, this is what I have been preaching to our people. If they have accepted the foreign music, food education and their CULTURE with begging bowls collecting alms from the Western world why should they cry against homosexuality? God loves the person but he hates sin. The biggest problem with Christians or Religious people is that They go to church 24/7 yet THEY DON’T FEAR THE POWER OF GOD. These people treat homosexuality as if it is a bigger sin than adultery, fornication, stealing, lying, etc. NO sin is greater than the other.
  Instead of focusing on gay/lesbian, Ghanaians should focus on the child on the street that need support, Focus on the adults who rape young children; Focus on Ashantes/Ewe tribal hatings etc. Focus on national projects that will enhance the development of GHANA; Focus on how you are going to make Ghana hygienically clean without plastics bags being thrown on the floor and blocking the drainage; Focus on that! God is LOVE and He LOVES every one of us no matter.
  Personally, I don't care if a person practices homosexuality, why should I be concerned what someone does within the four walls of their home!! Homosexuality Is NOT my business but abusing a child is definitely by business.

But I hasten to add that the only fire-proof case of defence in this saga of cultural rights is to gauge everything to the dictates of the Almighty. On such a premise, culture or human right is swiftly relegated to the background and the onerous question raises its fine head: "What does the Almighty God says about this or that?" Komla I submit this to you for your careful pondering.

  LEGITIMATE CONCERNS THOUGH BUT IF CULTURE IS AS YOU DEFINED IT, THEN IT CANNOT BE STATIC. What constitute peoples culture yesterday cannot be the same today otherwise your definition may not hold.
