  In Ghana the mind set is colonialism -blame it on the Whiteman, who told us there was nothing of value in our heritage to preserve and indeed, if they don't come back to tell us the significance of our own heritage, the Kuntus would prefer to be called Blankson so would the Kweku Dua's would rather Kweku Wood. I tell you, we were not gifted with foresight. We are too much at ease in our comfort zone. We don't think outside the box. So we sold all our information treasures to the Malaysians. Don't ask me why?

  Truly reminiscent of the good old days! What about the Ghanaian folklore? I know the Ashantis and the Krobos have some magnificent folk tales. Have these been documented yet? I remember quite well how I used to enjoy reading TALES FROM THE ARABIAN KNIGHTS during my middle school days at BANA HILL and I can confidently say that the present day Ghanaian school kid will enjoy the Ghanaian folk tales even better. In a recent conversation with a friend I tried desperately to recall the lyric of Ampadu's song "Aku Sika" without success. Can anyone tell me where I can get it on CD to buy? Thanks
