Nkrumah was Tribe-Blind. For Nkrumah it was one Ghana. That is why he tried to bridge the gap between the North and South by instituting FREE education for the North and improving the Lots of the Volta Region.
His policies united Ghana and until some coup makers thought otherwise and started tribalising the Country.
If you look at today's Ghana when a Voltarian gains a "good" position in the civil service, s/he brings in fellow Voltains. In Nkrumah's days, that never happened. The same is true for Northerners. Look at the number of Volatarians and Northerners in the civil service and the army top positions, and in Government, and that will give you an idea that tribalism has been promoted, mostly, by the Voltarian and the Northerners.
Until Nkrumah's vision is resorted to we will continue to be WHERE WE ARE.
