I believe the country by and large has accepted Nana's effort in taking his grievance concerning the elections to the Supreme Court. The problem the court is going to face, in my opinion, is that there is no example of elections anywhere that is 100% fair with no aggrieved person or party. Even the Ghana Elections were judged to be better run than the US one. Yet some Ghanaians were ironically appealing to President Obama to help nullify the results. We have a lot of Ghanaian Politicians and their cronies who own news media. This gives them the advantage of getting their issues on political agenda in the media and defining the issues in ways they believe likely to influence their resolution. It is easy for anyone of us in this world to fall from being a hero to a goat. Nana Akuffo Addo has been charged with impersonation, falsification of academic and professional credentials, as well as possible murder. These charges are serious enough for any sensible person who is innocent of them to ignore. I would be in court in a nanosecond to redeem my good name. It is unfathomable that a rational thinking innocent person who is seeking the highest office in the country would try to ignore these issues. These allegations if proven to be true will take Akuffo Addo down. If false then he will be vindicated and we will move on.

Please be informed that even the idea and initiative taken to initiate an action in court over a non existing issue and something that didn't happen in itself is a measure of the extent people think that one individual must at all cost become President. It smacks of the feeling that some people are not fit to rule Ghana. The last election by all standard is the most tranparent and clean election ever conducted in Ghana during this fouth republic. Even Nana and all of you know this in your hearts and minds but your greedy interest and pride is not allowing you to accept. We are watching you.

Would they say all the international observers and the EC and millions of Ghanaians are wrong by agreeing to the fact that the elections were free and fair? If the court rules in favour of Nana and his NPP then we should expect the judges to be electing leaders every 4 years because there can never be any 100% good elections in anywhere in the world. No well meaning Ghanaian will want to see Ghana in flames. I really do not think that if Nana was declared winner of the election and sworn in any person could have even attempted to remove him. We need peace in Ghana.

You must not have because if you did you won't say "the NPP has exhibited a textbook conduct on civil behaviour both in court and outside"

I am fully behind any political party in Ghana who thinks the election they contested was stolen and have proof of that to take to court. That's what the courts are for but once you take the case to the court with all your evidence, you leave the case to the court to handle without stiring anymore controversy that may result in civil unrest, exactly what the NPP members are doing now. My fear is that it may lead to a much bigger situation where both parties become losers and the military become the winners. Both NPP and NDC are bashing each other in the media, democracy and freedom of speech, but neither of them are allowed to publicly comment on the case while it is still pending in court.However, they both do it on a regular basis. Personally, I think Akuffo Addo personal issues shoulld have no bearing on the case and should not even be raised in conjunction with the election case in court. What is been done in court now, if done for the right reasons and judged properly without allowing any preconceived notion into sitting on the case, should strengthen our democracy. Ghana being a third world country is full of police brutalities and government victimization, however Akuffo Addo should not let that scare him from seeking redress for the supposed election misappropriations.

With the question of Bawumia accidents, that has more to do with NPP than NDC and the government. What do the NDC have to gain in Bawumia dead? The NPP, however, has everything to gain from Bawumia dead in that they can now get another stellar Akan to be the party flag bearer instead of their sworn nemesis, the northerners. NPP is afraid that another Aliu Mahama issue may be at stake but killing Bawumia should all but erase that notion that they don't want a northerner to lead the self-professed Akan party. It just makes a lot of sense, anyway you look at it. Where in the civilized world can a private individual tow a car or SUV involved in an accident to a hidden place and away from the inspection of the police? Why is Sir John and his followers trying to hide the accident SUV? What are they hiding? Maybe hiding how the engine and the SUV innards were tempered with huh? Only God knows the truth of the matter.

Well said Jedd, you are very analytical. Unfortunately we are dealing with people (Mahama and NDC) who are bent on retaining political power at all cost. I have an ominous feeling that John Mahama is more than ready to plunge Ghana into a civil war than to give up power should the ruling goes against him. I have nothing personal against him and indeed I used to admire him during Rawlings era. But not so anymore since he became the Vice President because he has consistently shown by his utterances and his posturings that he is intolerant to opposing views and also power hungry. I now really believe that he is not only a fraud but incompetent with his NDC to lead Ghana to economic prosperity. And he doesn't get it by wanting to sponsor pastors to Israel instead of working hard to alleviate poverty in Ghana. The level of poverty in Ghana now is unacceptable especially in the rural areas yet the NDC and John Mahama don't show any seriousness in tackling these but are only interested in diverting attention. That is very sad!!!

patience my foot , tell the lying murderous incompetent fool of an idiot to resign. you sit there and are blind to the atrocities , corruption , tribalism and the rest of the evils of this world that are the mark of the beast called ndc. you make it sound so trivial and put it down to partisan politics but the fact remains even a goat would do a better job , we will certainly expose them for what they truly are and do so in such a manner that never again will such characters be given the opportunity to make our lives bleak and miserable . last year they said the chinese or koreans now its supposed to be the world bank and bill gates coming to save them, lies and wishful thinking . if they had an honest bone or any integrity they would just step down. note the fact that you are able to pick pocket Einstein doesnt make you smarter than him like they did with the election rigging combined with election engineering and propaganda based solely on lies. they have no plan or better agenda as by now we would have seen the fruits of the execution , infact 90% of the ministers and so called appointees have no clue what it takes to run a nation and are only there to devise ways and means with various schemes to put money in their pockets and fuch the people . they just dont care . their evil ways stink to high heaven and any decent human being can see what their true motives are , tell them to go away now in peace before its too late

If the petitioners think something is wrong somewhere, let's identify this wrong and strengthen the institutions that are in place and we will gradually be doing and getting things right.
