I said trump 'cos, thanks to their rabid ethnic chauvinism and often prejudices expressed towards non-Akans, and seeing everything public and even private through their jaundiced and myopic tribal lenses, they have been deserted in droves by non-Akan families who joined in forming the UP, esp. the Ewe and Ga families. Only very few die-hards remain with them, and they have become more and more insignificant in attracting support to the NPP. The Dombo faction will be reduced to traitors among Northerners by the time Mahama is due for re-election in 2016! Mark my words!

If we want peace and progress then whatever we do must be tailored towards that. There's no need to bury our heads in the sands and dismiss everything unpleasant with a mere wave of the hand as we are wont to do but as a nation we must identify what the threats to our peace and stability are and nip them in the bud. The nation at large won't lose anything but rather so much to gain if we should wisely take the writer's words as a warning and a possible threat to our peace and stability.
The problem with us is that when the election is over it's never over for many of us. Everyday we stand on the campaign platform agitating for votes for our parties.Everyday is an election day. We need to get off that platform and get to work, dealing daily with the nitty gritties of our march towards economic stability, peace and progress as soon as the election is over. The elections are over, folks. We must let our voices be heard and make the government of the day accountable to the people.Without being garbed proudly in our gaudy party colors but clothed as everyday ghanaians we must unite and hear every cry of pity,intercede for every injustice committed and seek redress for the wrongs committed against each other. These, in addition to working hard with our hands and feet and brains will take us to the land of prosperity. The veiled threats will only hasten our disintegration.

Now it can be said that the Akans of NPP would like to see an Akan as president of Ghana to the extent possible, BUT it is not NECESSARILY TRUE that that same majority will want it accomplished by "ANY MEANS NECESSARY", including violence and civil war..WHY?

One thing that makes us ALL Ghanaians is our penchant to be peace loving- and this can neither be an attribute of just one tribe- I think collectively, Ghanaians, with or without noticeable progress, would NOT want their country to become a Rwanda or a Sierra Leone.. Afterall, Ghananians are not ignorant about the plight of Refugees, since Ghana has played host to many refugees from war torn countries..

The likes of these Francis Baffuor type individuals who because of "the Internet without borders" spew such divisive and genocidal invoking articles without thought to its consequences, are few and far between in the collective membership of the NPP.. I am confident of that..

And thus, the likes of Mr. Baffuor can continue to spew all the TRASH they want, but when the Ghana's SC finally makes a decision, even as a consequence of building a fair and just society, the EMERGING LOSER MUST BOW out gracefully; and if he chooses NOT to do so, then HE and his ilkes should be ready to meet their waterloo if they think violence is the way to go!

It is God orchestrated- no worries about that!..That is my hope and WE ( all Ghanaians) must be ACTIVE participants in spreading the message of unity!

The former clearly portrays the real skeletal facts before the Supreme Courts and makes any objective citizen to hope truth and boldness will guide the judges to be heroes in their final judgement! The latter sadly must be kicked against by all peace loving citizens; whipping up misguided sentiments for mayhem albeit tribal must NEVER be welcomed under any circumstances even IF Supreme Court rules against pure evidence submitted before it! Why that won't bring any solution! It will surely deepen any distress there is; mark my word, Francis.

The way forward is for our learned and honourable men and women at the Supreme Court shun bias, intimidation and subjectivity and go for wisdom, bravery and pure dictates of the law for the sake of mother Ghana! The rest of us should have the heart to accept the verdict, come what may? Yes, come what may, I dare say!
