  You must count yourself lucky your power didn't go out in the middle of the virtual conference. People are moving forward with immense technological developments, but we in Ghana can't even provide the basics of food, water and electricity for our people.

  The current revolutionary communication technologies available worldwide are not only advantageous for academic exchanges as described here. They are also a potent weapon in the fight against corruption and politicians lies. Our politicians cannot misrepresent issues anymore. If one tells lies to say Ghanaians in Beijing, China the misinformation can be challenged within seconds by someone with the real facts located in, say, Cayman Islands. EMany of our big men are still not aware of these developments and still try to practise politics of deception as was done in the past. They will always be caught pants down. Politicians who buy dubious properties abroad should be aware the registration will be open for anyone who cares to know to see. Praise communication technology.
