  (SOURCE) JOY ONLINE:------------------------------The National Democratic Congress has more than doubled Ghana’s debt in four years but it has very little or nothing to show for it, New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Obuasi, Kweku Kwarteng, has said.
  
  According to him, after government increased Ghana’s debt from $8 billion dollars in 2009 to $17 billion in 2012; after enjoying oil proceeds, the first government in Ghana’s history, after enjoying windfalls in cocoa prices and gold prices the only evidence NDC has to show for these huge inflows are power cuts, water crisis, gas shortages and unemployment.
  
  The Obuasi MP said his constituents have for over ten months not had water flow through their taps and there has not been any official explanation for it.
  
  He said the whole country has been plunged into darkness with government sources and spokespersons providing contradictory dates as to when the power cuts will come to an end.
  
  He made these assertions on MultiTV and Joy FM’s news analysis programme Newsfile on Saturday.
  
  What is worse, Kweku Kwarteng added, the country is operating a huge budget deficit of $8.7 billion up from $6.6 billion in 2008 but with nothing to show for the expenditure.
  
  He said whilst the citizenry are suffering, government and other state institutions are blowing the country’s money through unnecessary overspending.
  
  According to him, the presidency alone over spent over GHC600 million without consulting Parliament.
  
  Kweku Kwarteng also accused the government of completely running down the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) with the view to privatising it and has failed to account for the TOR recovery levy which was imposed by the NPP to offset the TOR debt incurred as a result of subsidy on fuel prices.

  What is going on in Ghana now is DISGUSTING. John Mahama is a THIEF. The NDC are all thieves. The MPs are all THIEVES. Stupid people, they are ruining our country. It is so sad I want to weep.

  Who can save Ghana from this mess? I thought that the military and police are there to protect and defend the people from thieves, robbers and all kinds of criminals but Ghanaians are so disappointed in these institutions that most of the people think the soldiers and police have been bribed by NDC. They are now one and the same that is why government officials are looting from the coffers with impunity. What is pathetic is that the government has been using the so called security forces to suppress any whistle blowers. NDC members are all above the law. Let the civil society revolt against stealing, corruption and tyranny and let the NDC soldiers and police be on the run like Liberian and Sierra Leonian soldiers. One day Ghana shall be free, Insha Allah.

WHO ASKED THEM TO GO AND TAKE OR BORROW MONEY TO GO AND FORCE PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR THEM INTO PARLIAMENT. GHANA MUST RESIST THIS OPPRESSORS AND LET THE MPs COME TO REASON.   we have predicted a sorry ass performance of this govt but never imagined the incompetence and corruption was in fact due to plain amateurism . pepeni himself has packed his govt with amateurs , with half his ministers whose first real job is looking after the affairs of 25 million plus. they did not come to serve the nation rather expect the people to serve them. this has given rise to corruption that make the even the Nigerians look like small boys. the ndc as a party could definitely have done much better and those who wrote the constitution never factored in the possibility that a majority party could field such a group of spineless idiots and amateurs. instead of resigning they clinch to their imaginary posts and dont even seem to see the whole country disintegrating , strikes everywhere , prices gone sky-high , no water or electricity just like it was before the coming of hitler in germany before the second world war . yes we shall surely end up with war as in war we will all learn what it takes to build and develop a nation and who really counts . today any tom , dick and harry ignoramus gets up and thinks they can be president or minister and are genuinely upset who looked over . the so called ndc gurus like ato ahvoi , totobi , avenoor and delay tactic expert tsikata are quiet as the all see things crumbling before their eyes . what use is their election engineering or rigging now since they will never live long enough to enjoy the monies being stolen and plundered now. ndc has not only taken a pounding in the propaganda war they started but also lost all respect of even their own supporters . these are the people who in their evil minds can only commit more atrocities and will most likely leave in a river of blood like never before. their days are numbered

  "On assuming office as Ghana’s Prime Minister, Rt Honourable Prof Kofi Abrefa Busia –may his soul rest in perfact peace- voluntarily cut his pay by half; that of his Ministers was similarly reduced by a quarter to save Ghana from sinking into socio-economic mess. This was indeed acts of benevlence and benefaction where performance of Ministers in office has been unparalelled since.
  Fast forward a bit... you will think this act of patriotism will continue, but no...
