I think we should just let them slug it out. One thing is certain: all those who think they know Akufo-Addo well, either as a great honest man, or as rogue and scan who cheated his way to the Ghana Bar don't really know EVERYTHING about this man. Bokor wasn't there when it happened. Okoampa was a small boy when it happened. Gabby Othchere was in diapers and never saw Akufo as a young man. Adofo, Damptey, etc. they all don't know the real truth even though they're making pronouncements on it. I DON'T KNOW EITHER!
Let us stop taking sides and hope that the court case goes through well and the real truth (or at least part of it) be established about the man so that we can say with some amount of certainty that he is an honest man undone by his foes or a cheat whose cup has run full. The jury is still out. Let's hope the jury members vote for the truth!!!

The language used in the Middle Temple document is a sort of language that is no longer used in the UK. Most institutions now used what is commonly known as user friendly English, including even legal documents. This appears to be forged.

Not long ago, the NPP members started allegations regarding Vice President Amissah- Arthur. There were claims that he did not obtain an MS Degree in Economics. He produced his certificate and that ended the speculations. I see nothing wrong with Justice Kpegah asking Nana Akufo Addo to present his certificates. If his Certificate is lost in an American University, they would normally, provide a letter attesting to the fact that one has indeed obtained the degree, with certified copies of transcripts with the registrar's signature, provost's signature, College Dean and the University President's signature. An actual copy of a certificate is usually not provided. I do not know how it is done in the UK. The Birthers in the Republican Party alleged that President Obama was not born in the US. He produced copies of his birth certificate and that ended that matter. There are too many crooks with faked degrees running around. Nana is seeking the Highest Office in Ghana. He needs to provide documented evidence to show that he is not a crook and this would put an end to this matter.

This is a clear admission that Nana Addo and the said WAD are one and the same person. But Bokor never thought about the logical consistency of his reasoning because he has no respect for the average reader of Ghanaian forums, believing s/he is incapable of picking his thoughts apart. By the way, Nana doesn't have to show documented evidence on Ghanaweb that he is lawyer. That will be done in court. Meanwhile, the propagandists trying the case on Ghanaweb can write to the Ghana Legal Council and Middle Temple, if they really wish to expose Nana Addo as a fraud rather than merely throw dirt at him to tarnish his image. You'll be really out of your mind to think that the man should spend his time answering every stupid thing concocted by the NDC propagandists. I'm also surprised that no one is questioning why it's only the NDC that continues to make malicious allegations against well-meaning citizens in this country. If anyone must post such a thing on Ghanaweb, it must be those prosecuting the case here who, as they did with Nana's status at Oxford, must write to the General Legal Council and the Middle Temple for information on Nana's status as a lawyer. Goodness, what happened to he who alleges must prove? The NDC wrote to Oxford in order to post the evidence here. Why can't they do the same in this matter? Is it because they had egg on their faces in the Oxford matter, as Oxford came to categorically deny NDC's claims that Nana Addo was dismissed? Oxford only declined the responses to the requests sent to them - they did not write anything to disprove the claims that he was driven from the University-please remember. You may google Nana Akuffo Addo to find two sets of added nformation to the original. Below are the two - one which is the original and a second one which is the added version from an individual whose computer address and time he added (he probably didnt think he could be tracked) appears appended as 15:34, 10 April 2013? 134.153.36.114 below. My own position is that I don't know. I only take it for granted that everything is ok with his legal qualifications because he's been a lawyer for all this time. But if you press me to give concrete and incontrovertible proof of that assertion I will tell you I cannot do that because I don't have that evidence. I simply don't know.
There may be tribal dimensions to this issue, which is not good. That is all the more reason why we should try to get to the bottom of the issue so that the tribalists and againstfuo can be exposed and publicly shamed, or ...
And we must pursue the other ills of our society with equal vigour even if Bokor doesn't seem to have eyes for those ones. He's not the only one around who can make noise about an issue!

I think what you should be doing on this matter is to join Addo`s legal team to find a solution to the pressing problems with the whereabouts of his certificate/duplicate certificates.

Akadu's only problem is his tribalism on this forum. Otherwise, no one will have problems with him.
Even in this matter Akadu knows that all Akufo has to do is to defend himself and prove that he is who he says he is. But Akadu is putting a tribal twist to the whole thing. He is seeing things as Ewe against Akan (but not exactly the other way round) when it is people like him who should go beyond such things and see bad for bad not bad according to the tribe of the person who does the bad and the labeling of people.

Its not strange for people to lose important documents like certificates, passport, i.d. cards, etc...but its always possible to get new one ones if it can be proved beyond doubt that, in fact, you owned one before...i, for instance, lived in liberia and was there throughout the war...i lost both my 'o' and 'a' level certificates when the house i was living in got burnt...if i really need them to do anything i can go to WAEC office to get new ones even though i cannot remember my index numbers...once i can indicate the years i completed 'o' and 'a' levels, i should be able to get new ones...this should be the case in all educational and professional institutions...thus akuffo addo should have been able to secure new certificates to buttress the fact that he is indeed a lawyer...without a certificate, a mere letter from a professional organization's 'acting secretary' is not enough...being that he is a profile personality, akuffo addo should have been smarter

You, "TROUBLE-MAKER" just proved me right, as per (2) and (3) below.
2. You haven't seen copies of the letter, nor the other documents filed (and to be filed) by Nana Addo's lawyers, but you believe the misrepresentations of the "NDC gutter press", so notorious for concocting stories that even a leading member of the NDC, Martin Amidu, has warned us of the NDC's venomous media mercenaries.
3. Let's just assume that the letter bore the expression "Ghana University". How is that a lie or a grammatical error? This is where I get angry at the audacious foolishness of people like "TROUBLE-MAKER". Obviously, he doesn't know that in the English Language the genetive inflection can be expressed as noun+noun, so that, e.g., "University of Oxford/Cambridge" can be written as Oxford/Cambridge University. When I was in grad school abroad, one of my professors kept referring to the University of Ghana, including in recommendation letters for me, as University of Legon. Does that mean that I didn't attend University of Ghana or that nobody knew what he was referring to? Stop displaying ignorance and mischief!

Because he showed little interest in the Tsatsu trial, allowing the staff at the A-G to botch the case. Indeed, there was strong suspicion in the NPP hierarchy then that Nana Addo did this deliberately because he was conflicted by his close relationship with the Tsikatas, especially with the Captain. This suspicion was further heightened by the fact that Nana signed a document that was prepared by staff of the A-G office on the case without reading it. The man just left the case to his subordinates to handle.
It's only when the case was bungled by his subordinates and Kufuor got angry did Nana Addo take over the case to engineer a technical knock-out. After this, Kufuor didn't trust Nana Addo and moved him to foreign affairs. Surprisingly, ignorant NDC footsoldiers have been claiming Tsatsu outsmarted Nana Addo, when in fact the latter was initially trying to save him.
In many ways, Nana is a prisoner of his own success, decency and magnanimity.
Examples:
1. He repealed the criminal libel, which has opened the floodgates for NDC propagandists to mount unceasing attacks on his person. True to his colours, Nana declared at the IEA debate that he'd rather tolerate such attacks than call for limitations to free speech.
2. As a private businessman, he instigated Ghana's telecom revolution at a time when Mahama was merely sleeping in the Communications Ministry as a deputy minister, only for Mahama to turn around and claim credit. Yet, no one is asking Mahama exactly what he contributed because in terms of policy the current competitive environment in the telecoms industry happened under Kufuor.
2. There is probably no single individual that has done more to advance the legal profession than Nana has. Due to his outstanding legal arguments, he is the most cited Ghanaian individual in the Ghana Law Reports. His chambers have turned out more outstanding lawyers than any other chambers in Ghana. Yet, today we're being told that the guy is not even a lawyer and, shockingly, we're not asking those alleging to produce evidence. Instead, people are gleefully abusing the man to whom this country owes so much, just because he is contesting the recent election of Mahama in court. Where were Mahama and Kpegah when Nana Addo was fighting dictators and their human rights abuses in the law courts? Now that his struggles have helped open the way to democracy, every fool gets up to challenge his qualification as a lawyer. Incredible. Not even Tsatsu Tsikata, as an outstanding academic lawyer as he is, can match Nana Addo's expertise as a trial lawyer. Even Atta Mills, who stood to benefit from this nonsense, was so embarrassed that he came out himself to attest to Nana Addo's legal qualifications. My sister, don't be fooled!
