  What are the number one commodities that make life comfortable and meaningful for citizens in the developed countries? These are electricity, water and transportation (roads). The governments in these countries ensure that these three most essential commodities are provided in every community without which there is no meaningful life.
  After 56 years of independence of Ghana, the majority of our population still lives without these basic commodities.
  Electricity, water and roads are very essential to life. Not only for those in the cities but also for citizens in the countryside.
  The expansion of these commodities must be a priority in the mind of each citizen of our country.
  With the provision of these essential items, all other developments will follow and thrive.

  56 years of independence - and still inadequate water- and electricity supply, open gutters and horrific waste management. Who would be surprised by cholera outbreaks in the middle of Accra? Just went to Tema this morning - the filthy environment along the highway is disgusting! Strange how politicians can get away with this mismanagement year after year after year.....Does society not care???
