As far as I'm concerned the only true leader who ever walked and will ever walk the face of this earth is Jesus Christ. He called people and said to them :"Come, Follow Me." He served those who followed him because he understood the master- servant relationship.Wherever he went that's where his followers went; wherever he slept is where his followers slept and whatever he ate is what the followers ate. Jesus washed his disciples feet, a practice that finds its roots in the hospitality customs of ancient civilizations. "If I then, your Lord and Teacher have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example,that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things blessed are you if you do them."
That's leadership. A true leader is selfless and an exemplar who will not hesitate to do what he expects of other people, his followers or "subordinates" for lack of a better word. He reproduces himself in his followers to the extent that in the event of his death or absence one of the followers could lead the group.
Which of the current crop of politicians fit this description of a true leader? Their habits, attitude and character are a far cry from what true leadership is all about.Most of these men and women can best be described as slave drivers,opportunists, charlatans and pseudo socialists who double as fraudsters,confidence tricksters, pen robbers and armed robbers.
Citizen One, do not call these men our leaders because they preach virtue and practise vice. They've always been out of step with the citizenry but our slavishness, timidity and naivety is what stands between them and the pitchforks or mob action.Weep not for garbage.

Stupid is not as stupid says but stupid is as stupid does.The voters' predicament reminds me of Esau, son of Isaac and Rebecca who exchanged his rightful birthright for a mesh of pottage from his twin brother Jacob because he was famished.
The corrupt politicians who dream of perpetuating their stranglehold on the economy understand how much distress and havoc poverty can impose on the electorate so they deliberately introduce policies that will impoverise the people.During the election campaign they make several mouth watering promises they know cannot be actualized.The angel they say is in the policy(before election) but the devil is always in the killer details(after elections have been won). The impoverished electorate accept little gifts from the politicians to temporarily assuage their hunger and buoy up their despondent spirits.
As soon as the election is over it's business as usual. The poor go back to their impoverishment and despondency and the politicians begin making a mint.It's a four year cycle of events but I'm amazed the victims never learn and their victimization become ritualized.The wicked politicians never forget that public ignorance is the government's best friend so they frown at mass education policies and mass literacy campaigns and endeavor to perpetuate ignorance and poverty.
The politicians are crooks but not of an enlightened class. Their ignorance is encyclopaedic, They cannot keep their nose clean and since they cannot keep their mouth shut either, they are in the habit of continually putting their dirty foot in the mouth.
Knowledge will forever govern ignorance and until the day of enlightenment comes we'll continue to hobble as we witness the fraud, mass deception, incompetence, rising corruption, moral decadence and mass poverty.We must never forget the Law of the Harvest is always true. What you sow is what you reap.Also "a man does not come to the alms-house or the jail by the tyranny of fate and circumstance,but by the pathway of groveling thoughts and base desires."(James Allen)
As for voting it's a right that must not be denied anyone.

In America, where Sarpong and other NPP plutocrats have sought refuge, the black population is the poorest and the least educated. By Sarpong's reasoning, Obama couldn't have been the president of the USA if the authorities had done the right thing by not allowing the black community from which Obama draws his greatest support, to vote given that they and Sarpong are largely illiertate and therefore lack the capacity to make importanat choices through voting. I.m constrained to think that Sarpong may also be victiim of this certificateless bug afflicting many members of the NPP.

We still have a chunck of the population, at least 25% of voters who have no business voting but in order not to be accused of discrimination, we cannot disenfranchise them so we are bound to get these MP'S for a long time.
