Can you please ask Justice Kpegah why he did not first report Nana Akuffo Addo to the General Legal Council for investigation but straight to the High Court?

Can you also ask him why he did not report the supposed murder of William Akuffo Addo to the police but went straight to the High Court?

Justice Kpegah is even questioning the name "Nana".

There are various professional organizations that confer upon its members the acceptance, honor and validation that one has earned requisite accreditation and licensure to practice as one of their own. In these professional organizations a simple four (4) year, six (6) year or eight (8) year degree would not do unless and until one passes standing exam for membership and is officially accepted, Akufo-Addo may have completed law school but you darn well know Akufo-Addo could not practice law in the UK without admission to the bar in the UK. Yes in Ghana we are a little backwards and do worship people with a whole lot of college/university degrees but with no common sense and intellectual honesty that should come with schooling but even in Ghana, be that as it may, we expect people who wish to practice law to be admitted into our bar.
The issue raised by Justice Kpegah is simple; is Akufo-Addo the same as WED Akufo-Addo? The answer is yes. Did Akufo-Addo gain admission into the Ghana Bar through requisite and proper channels? Who gives a rats ass if Akufo-Addo is a member of the bar in UK? Look here Mr. Simple logic, it is one thing for you and every educated fool from Ghana to brag about a collection of meaningless school diplomas, but it is another thing to run from simple questions. Akufo-Addo should show how he was admitted into Ghana bar and stop hiding behind all the skirt wearing, loud mouths in Ghana who cannot understand simple things because the brains are saturated with a whole lot of funk.
Do we not ask graduating secondary school students in Ghana who do not make it our universities to provide credentials when they seek employment or do we accept what they say? It’s about time Ghanaians stop being foolish and tribally tainted; everything Ghana is not political.

The issue at stake has nothing to do with Kpegah's tribe. It is about integrity and intellectual honesty. The case is before the highest court of the land, and all we need to do is to wait for the court to unravel the mystery or otherwise about Justice Kpegah's allegations.

If Kpegah's allegations are deemed malicious legal gimmicks, he would draw the ire of all well meaning Ghanaians for being intellectually dishonest. On the order hand, if his allegations hold, then Nana would equally draw the ire of Ghanaians for his lack of integrity.

Either way, EWES will remain EWES and AKYEMS will remain AKYEMS---and Ghana will still be Ghana.

Let's see things through the lens of our common humanity, not through socially and politically constructed "realities."

"For our purposes, we will pick on the “certified copy of extract” from the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple as the blueprint. It is the one on which everything revolves. It is where the Judicial Secretary (name not given), the Chairman of the General Legal Council (given by Akufo-Addo’s lawyer as the late Justice Samuel Azu Crabbe), and William Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo appended signatures to indicate it as the “certified copy of extract from the Roll Books” dated July 8, 1975.
Without this document, there would be no “certified copy of extract from the Roll Books” because, contrary to expectation, the General Legal Council itself didn’t have any original entry in its own stationery, bearing its insignia to give Akufo-Addo. We wonder why!
Of course, the records show that a William Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was enrolled at the Middle Temple on January 13, 1969, called to the Utter Bar on July 22, 1971. But thorny issues have cropped up for us to interrogate, especially on the basis of the “certified copy of extract from the Roll Books” filed by Akufo-Addo and his lawyer, Godfred Yeboah Dame.
Discrepancy in Dates in the Certified True Copy from Middle Temple
We found something peculiarly intriguing about the use of dates in the certified copy of the extract from the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple (signed by J.B. Morrison, Under Treasurer). Under Treasurer Morrison said in a part of the extract that Akufo-Addo was called to the Utter Bar on “the twenty-second day of July one thousand nine hundred and seventy-one and published in the common Dining Hall of the said Society on the same day.”
Then, in the next paragraph, he said that “In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and the seal of the said Society this third day of March in the twenty-third year of the Reign of Our Gracious Sovereign Lady, Elizabeth the Second (…) and in the Year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy-five.”
My good friends, we have here a discrepancy, which raises red flags!! While one part of this extract says that Akufo-Addo was called to the Utter Bar on July 22, 1971, the place concerning the “hand and seal of the said Society” that comes in the next paragraph mentions March 3, 1975 as the date on which J.B. Morrison applied “the seal and his hand” to the document.
The appearance of this date (March 3, 1975) in this “certified copy of extract” raises very serious questions. This is the first time that I have come across such a date in the documents presented by Akufo-Addo as issued to him by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.
What had Akufo-Addo to do with the Middle Temple in 1975 for this date to be cited in official records for him if he had officially graduated and been called to the Utter Bar three clear years earlier? If his own claim is to be believed, after being called to the Utter Bar on July 22, 1971, he left for Paris, France, meaning that there was no way he could have been in any capacity recognized any more by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple as someone under tutelage on that date (March 3, 1975).
Something is not adding up well here at all. I am not being mischievous here, dear reader. The document is in my custody and what it says clearly at this point in this very extract is what I have quoted and commented on."

"What is Middle Temple?It's an INN OF COURT.They stopped being responsible for legal education in 1852.Members today comprise of students who intend reading the BVC,pupil barristers and qualified ones.When i obtained my admission to read law at Manchester,i was advised to register with one of the inns of court.One could register and his name would be kept on the register for years but may choose not to go ahead with the course.Therefore,obtaining a document confirming that you were there is not conclusive of the fact that,you have duly completed the requisite training in one of the law schools.We all expect Nana Addo to prove this and put Kpegah to shame and from that time we can describe Kpegah as pigheaded."

The Republic of Ghana Parliament's Appointments Committee has demanded the Deputy Northern regional minister designate to produce his ordinary and advanced school levels certificates.

This was after Alhaji A.B.A Fuseini had admitted to the committee that the certificates were missing.

Though the nominee had stated on his CV that he completed his 'O' and 'A' levels education at the T.I Ahmadiyah senior high school in Kumasi, he could not indicate the certificates acquired.

After further probing, he told the committee the certificates were missing.
Alhaji Fuseini explained to the committee that he had left the certificates in the care of his relatives to travel, only to find upon return they had gone missing.

“...But I can tell this committee with all honesty and sincerity that I have earned those certificates but unfortunately, it’s just that I don’t have them ... now,” he told the Vetting Committee.

But a member of the committee, Baba Jamal - not satisfied with the answer – insisted that the nominee should find other means of retrieving the certificates.

“With your certificate, I know when it is missing, you can still go back to the institutions [where you schooled] and they [will] give you copies there.
“You can always do that. So it is important that you do that". (Credit myjoyonline).)

The above took place last week at the Parliament's Appointment Committee where the deputy minister disignate was advised to approach the awarding institution for a duplicate copy for submission. How different is this from Nana Akufo Addo's case? The GLC of Ghand and the Middle Temple should be able to provide duplicate copies of Nana's certificates rather than submitting letters, records, testimonials etc. Ghanains know one thing and that is the certificate period. The submission of supplementary affidavit means he does NOT have the certificate therefore there is an element of truth in Justice Kpegah's claim. Let's wait ad see.

In that case you can always request for a duplicate certificate from these institutions. In Nana Akufo Addo`s case, he cannot tell Ghanaians where he studied law. Even if he did private law studies, he took his exams through an institution. What is the name of that institution. In Ghana we try to simplify every issue. If Nana`s certificate is missing then he should tell us where he studied so that a new one can be requested. Why is the law school he attended also missing from his CV eventhough he mentioned the college where he did his O`level and A´Level, and also the University of Ghana where he had a 3rd Class Degree in economics. There are too many FAKE professionals in Ghana and it is time we fetch them out.

Blame the irresponsibility that is the embodiment of a section of Ghanaian journalism that rehashes issues in such a way as to stir controversy in a society polarized on tribal grounds.

Take the heading of the article as a point of departure. An inference is drawn between Mr. Kpeglah and the NDC but nowhere is this apparent in the article. What this does is to stimulate the less critical reader who cannot think out of the box and has an axe to grind where the NDC is concerned to become inflamed. The converse is also the case. Is that not the height of depravity. Is that not the mark of a sadist?

After all the issue is before a court of law that will decide its merits or demerits based on time tested principles so why exhibit the morals of a rattle snake? Is the "fame" on Ghanaweb worth the bitterness generated?

At times one cannot help but feel that this forum is very counter productive to Ghana's destiny because it conveniently provides a medium for disunity. Why should it accept any delusional rantings for public consumption or does it, like the tabloids that thrive on sleaze, thrive on controversy?

If you are relying on a hand-written document purported to have been issued by Middle Temple Inn and the so-called certified true copy of the Roll of lawyers from the General Legal Council to draw your conclusions, then I am afraid you erred. Please, how credible are these documents? Take your time to analyze issues if really you want to do a credible job. No amount of insults will stop Kpegah from persuing his case. If it is true that Kpegah is out of his mind, let Nana Addo defend himself and then goes on to prove that. Why, the case involves Nana Addo who is not insulting Kpegah and you took offence and insulted and denegraded Kpegah? It is only Nana Addo who can defend Nana Addo, NOBODY else.

This is a Supreme Court judge who is a card carrying member of NDC who once said "Some of us are worried if NDC lose the election". Unquote. What is the exact meaning of that?

Nana has never been to any school before but was able to set up a law firm and what is the achievement of Kpegah?

Kpegah had filed the case in court and Nana will never open his mouth in the media. What we are doing right now is merely joking and toying with ourselves.

The court will rule and we will see the vanquished and the victor.

But you, too, Pelicles, don't know the truth in this matter. You are only ASSUMING that Nana is innocent, and further ASSUMING that Kpegah is doing this only because he is a member of NDC and out of malice.

Why not wait until the court goes into the details of the matter before we know who is really at fault? It is possible that even after the court case, you will still not know the truth, the real truth.

What are his achievements apart from being "appointed"? Wikipedia couldn't find any.

It is highly possible that Nana Addo is the same WAD Akufo Addo in this whole drama and I am hopeful that the court case will prove this matter and put it to rest.

The other issues that need to be clarified are as follows;
1)Where did Nana have his legal education
Middle Temple does not provide legal education. They only provide legal training and Legal education is not the same as Legal Training. Before you are admitted into Middle Temple, you must have your legal education
2)The secong issue is whether Nana has done an official name change to replace William with Nana. This may seem irrelevant but Kpegah is playing on legalities here even though I consider that not so important

Your second point about Nana's possible name change is plausible. However, I pray Nana used proper protocol when effecting his name change. And for you to suggest that the protocol issue is not that important is a bit troubling because I do not expect anyone, let alone a lawyer, to effect a name change without proper protocol.
