Let people make comments so far us they are not inflaming tribal tendencies. The discourse should and must continue. Are you the writer worried that some of the people who have contributed articles are PHD holders???. It does not matter who the writer(s) is or are. An elementary school boy or someone who holds ten Ph.D.Are you intimidated or what is your problem.? I see that you are also self promoting. You claim to having written several books or articles. It does not make you an authority on this topic or ask the question who has the authority to comment on the case in court. Tribalism exists.Yes it will not and never go away but we have to tolerate other tribes. In a democracy people can write or discuss what ever they want. There is freedom of speech and this virtue is a key component of democracy.

With the exception of Clement all the other NDC writers write to attack Akufo Addo as an individual and the NPP party, where as Okoampa and Akadau especially choose to look beyond Kpegah and the NDC to attacking all Ewes as if Kpegah represents all Ewes.

The truth is the leadership of the NPP is very anti Ewe because they as them as a formidable political opponents and this does no good for Ghana.

On the other hand we wont have a democracy if we all agree to the whemls of one party, we need different ideas and opponents to have a democracy.

Bokor and Pryce have written articles showing that they think Akufo-Addo is hiding something but I haven't seen any article in which they "beatify" Kpegah. Can you quote the parts of the articles that show that they "beatify" Kpegah? Or is it that you don't understand the meaning of "beatify"?

I was really disappointed.

What is the code now? Keep quiet because you might offend a whole tribe? Nowhere in Kpegah's complaint did he mention Akan. Ghanaians, wake up. Must the well connected pit the masses against one another. If a lowly Akan did what it is clearly showing Nana has done, what will be his punishment. Of course, jail. The same goes for an Ewe. And for that matter, Ga, Fante, Northerner, and the rest. And we are allowing the well connected to pit us against one another.

Nana should just produce the certificate he said he earned. His father, rich to no end sent him to school, a chance many on the web did not get, and yet we are here cursing anyone who just says Nana should produce his certificate.

Prosper Dzakpasu of Dzodze Ablorme of the Ketu South District of the Volta Region has been bonking his biological sister for the past 12 years.

Despite caution and threats by several people, Prosper, 38, has refused to desist from sleeping with her sister.

Sources close to the family, who disclosed this to DAILY GUIDE, noted that the posture of Prosper forced them to make the matter public.

They noted that even though the mother of the two siblings cautioned them to desist from the practice on several occasions.

The situation, they noted, had impacted the old lady who is exhausted.

Apparently Prosper is the oldest of five children she bore their father while Cynthia is the last sibling.

Prosper’s grandfather, who also intervened in the matter, had his fare share of insults from his grandson.

The other three siblings of the “unnatural couple” are troubled by the sacrilegious relationship.

Prosper is said to have started sleeping with the sister, Cynthia Dzakpasu, who is currently 29 years old, when she was about 17.

The relationship, which started gradually, has now blossomed into a union, as the two are now living at Dzodze Ablorme.

At the time Prosper was working as a tailor.

After several warning by the family members who kept the matter confidential, Prosper decided to go into exile for five years.

He was later found to be living and working in Accra.

After a few weeks, he came for her sister and the two lived at unknown house in Accra.

Nothing was heard of them until about a year ago when they returned to Dzodze with their six-year-old daughter.

The source told DAILY GUIDE that “Prosper has now developed a thick skin and seem not to respect or fear anybody anymore. He knows that whenever you meet him or call him it is about his distasteful act and so he will not come and when he comes he will not mind anybody.”

The source added that the family had decided to report the case to the Police so that he would be arrested and prosecuted according to the laws of the land.

Other relatives, who cannot fathom why the two have been engaged in such sacrilegious relationship, attributed it to some spiritual cause, while others believe it could be some sort of spell cast on them

Why are we denied promotions and senior positions in the military, police, customs and other public institutions? How about our properties seized under P/NDC governments? The latest include our cars and other goods seized at Tema harbour and auctioned cheaply to mostly Ewes and other NDC members,their families and girlfriends, with Segbefia and carl Wilson as the mafia leaders. Why are Akans denied employment in pjblic and private sectors headed by Ewes? While some of these prominent academicians might claim to be defending the dignity of their Tribes in reaction to some unprovoked denigration by others, all need to ensure their responses do not create a vicious spiral of ethnic animosities.

It naturally led to his reductionist approach to seeing the commentators on this case as Ewes and Akans, whereas one can also produce enough evidence that people from all the ethnic groups in Ghana had also commented, supporting the party they are affiliated to. He is therefore among those interpreting these comments along tribal lines, instead of the obvious party lines which cut across ethnic group lines. His perception and views are therefore seriously flawed, as he wrongly infused an ethnocentric interpretation into the case. That's more sad than what he is accusing the others of doing.

Take me for instance, I haven't bothered to comment on any of those posts, as the case doesn't interest me much. In fact, I haven't read most at all. I read a couple by Dr Bokor sometime back and that was a couple too much; one by Pryce (didn't see anything tribal about it), and one or two by Kofi Ata (one in favour of Nana) and that's it! O-Ahoofe I didn't read at all! So why enmeshed me an Ewe into some raging tribal war I am even not aware of?

His title is very misleading. The writer doesn't seem to even understand the difference between "Ewes at war with Akans" and "Akans at war with Ewes". And no matter which formulation he chooses, he will be wrong because the two tribes are not at war with each other, not even figuratively.

Even Okoampa is fed up with this case and has not written any articles of late on it. It is only Bokor who is pursuing the case. He doesn't represent Ewes. Kpegah is an individual personality who doesn't represent Ewes. Even those Ewes who don't support NPP have nothing against Akyems, Kwahus and Akuapems to whom they have been very close even geographically.

It's just a few people on ghanaweb making noise and playing games with this case. That's all. What war is there?

Sometimes people who want to defuse situations end up worsening things.

I've noticed that that fellow has posted his last in a series piece on Asantes and the others. It is the signal I am waiting for to start my own.

BTW, if you read Ghanaweb alone, you'd never know that the VR is much Akan as it is Ewe, not to mention the many other linguistic groupings there. Hohoe, where Justice Kpega comes from, is virtually a bilingual town, as practically everybody from there speak Twi too! The Ewes are so intermarried with their Akan neighbours that many bear Akan names, and vice versa.

And, yes, most Hoheans may not speak Twi but they understand it and if it becomes very necessary, they speak it.

It is very unfortunate that it is Kpegah who has brought up this case against Akufo. The rumour about something being fishy about the manner in which Akufo was called to the bar in Ghana has been making the rounds in legal circles in Ghana for years. Anybody could have made a Kpegah who, as an individual, is fond of such quirky issues. It is his nature and has absolutely nothing to do with his being Ewe. Why even people who should know better should bundle all Ewes together and paint them one way is something I cannot understand.

And talking about Ewes bearing Akan names, it goes even further than you can think. Just go to Peki, Tshibu or Awudome and ask of their surnames...

Why should an Akan be angry because some one who cheated happens to belong to their race. They don't get angry when an Akan cassava thief is caught and sent to jail. Why are we this way. I rather expect them to be angrier at Nana, who despite all the help resorted to what is being alleged.

I am sad that this is happening. There is no need to be politically correct in this. My friends on the web here are mostly from other tribes. And they are fair, more than I can say for myself. I am reading them and they are not falling over themselves to hi 5 Nana.

Here on the Ghanaweb, there have been Akans who call for truth and nothing less in their posts. Personally, I don't care who wins the case; presently I came to the understanding that no matter who leads Ghana, people aren't going to stop corruption as it appears to be an innate tendency in Ghana.

Recently, the former Senegalese President Wade's son and Ministers and those involved in corruption are in jail and investigations still going on for others to get jailed. Ministers are also being jailed for forgery and impersonation. That is the face of democracy, and that is what changes a country and mentality. That is what we want in Ghana.

The NDC have not forgiven Kpegah for joining hands with Nana Konadu in her rebellion against Mills and are leaving him to fight it alone. Maybe NDC members also have some skeletons in their closets and may not want to be poking their noses into NPP's closets. These politicians know each other well no matter the party lines.

I think you're also right in saying there are some Akans on ghanaweb who just want to know the truth of the matter like some of us. That is why we are not taking sides and waiting to see what will happen. None of us here on ghanaweb can claim to know all the truth about Akufo-Addo and Kpegah. Let them fight it out and we see. Anything that will put the fear into corrupt and fake politicians is welcome. This has nothing to do with tribes or parties. We are all involved.

On the other hand, if Akufo-Addo know he had such tasteless issues and should have kept quiet but didn't, for the sake of his stomach, then let him face up to it and clear his name. If you live in a glass house, you mustn't throw stones.

I am a respecter/ lover of humans but I loathe, in my short life, contentions issuing out of greed and selfishness against collective interests. We have Ghana to redeem.

Nana shows up and plead to be allowed some time--a month or two months to secure a replacement of his missing certificate. Kpegah goes home and start to think how to apologize to Nana. But...

If Nana comes to court with a host of attorneys and no certificate, believe me, we shall boo him and he will never be the same again.

This is also a lession for us all, especially to children of the rich. The world may homage to them for some time but one day you'll have to stand on your wosn two feet. Ignominious fate awaits if you cannot deliver on your own. Money does not buy everything.

It is the same thing that Awoonor did in his "Ghana Revolution," (an opportunistic title for a book said to be written before the mid-1970s when he was imprisoned by Kutu for helping Brig. Kattah to escape arrest), even acknowledging in the book that he was reducing the ethnic antagonism in Ghana to simple terms into "Ewes vrs Akan/Asante" schism, since that's the two focal ethnic groups the antagonists coalesced and he is to this day accused of being a tribalist. This is in spite of the fact that the man indeed wrote another book after the Ghana Revolution dedicated to both Asantes and Ewes, in which he advanced solutions to Ghana's problems hinging those solutions on the two ethnic groups! As for me, that's the book I'd say is tribalistic but since it extolled the virtues of Asantes, rather than any vices they might have, we have never heard a single Asante, or any Akan for that matter, using that book to accuse Awoonor of tribalism! Hmm!

He was admitted into Legon as a consequence and got an economics degree.
How he then decided to do law and become a lawyer instead of an economist is very strange but he is not the first to do this.
He will make a good lawyer but qualifications in ghana now are not well rewarding as I believe there are a lot of university graduates without jobs.
May the Lord help those in need so they can become good people in life.

I am not sure if most people who read the cited articles feel any tribal flames burn in their bellies as a result. Neither do I think that there is that much hatred between Akans and Ewes. Most of it just banter and not deep-seated hatred.
The flip side of your article is that it may engender feelings of the so-called hatred you appear to abhor yourself. Sometimes silence can be golden.

Indeed Ghana should allow each region to form an independent government. Ewes can join the GREATER EWE STATE our nationalists are waiting for. Northerners can constitute themselves into another entity and the so called selfish Akans do what they want for themselves.

It is annoying for least productive group controlling all the annals of power and insulting the productive resource rich regions all because of power.

Are you aware of the on-going discrimination at work places against AKANS now under NDC. What a shame. WE SHOULD DISCONTINUE this Ghana experiment and go our separate ways.

It is quite obvious to me, that about 80% of those who have left abusive comments did not even open the page let alone reading the article.

It’s amazing how people draw conclusions from no premises. Why on earth would one consider it civil and apt to comment on an article they have not yet read, irrespective of how irritating, biased or beautiful the title might appear to be?

A great title should induce curiosity. Such captions entice the reader to explore the text in more detail. A heading that encourages curiosity and makes the reader take a closer look at the story ‘sells’ more than any other form of caption. Even though the title of the article was figuratively coined and was meant to be discursive, it was also meant to induce curiosity, which I have every reason to believe, was achieved.
