  My friend, have you observed elections in the US or Canada? Administrative errors occur even there. Some US states have electronic voting machines, yet there are complaints even with these machines about errors. So long humans are running something on such a large scale as 20,000+ polling stations you will have errors and every election will result in a court case.

  its amazing the way the alliance of evil consisting of the ewes northerners and occasional gas try to play around with the figures be it rigging of elections be it reducing the numbers of Akans in Ghana . they say the Akans are now 45 % and have presented through their ewe dominated institutions and civil service to all international institutions yet this percentage doesnt reflect in their ministerial appointments and in the composition of the civil service today. so coining a phrase from their own propaganda machinery we shall begin to set the records straight in this ridiculous absurdity. the ashantis make up over 5 million the same with the fanti speaking peoples of the western and central regions , i will not even bother to calculate the greater accra, brong ahafo and eastern regions as the result is glaringly obvious . when we point out these injustices their agent provocateurs and serial callers call us nation wreckers ashantis and all sorts of names emphasizing their threats based on hatred. we still continue to ask the questions that cause them anxiety and fear as they are aware the persecution and undermining of the Akans can not go on forever. if they dont accept us then its better we go our separate ways , long live the republic of Akan

  Being a perfectionist the writer has rightly argued against we accepting any form of error as the norm. Just that he forgot that the petitioners 'erred' aka made errors in a simple exercise presenting copies of pink sheets as evidence in court. Besides duplicating same pink sheets and giving them different exhibits number erroneously-at best, and fictitiously at worst they falsified signatures aka tempering with evidence. Not to forget addition of parliamentary results erroneously or maliciously in the absence of all other interested party. Don't forget that in the case of second respondent these 'errors' were made in the presence of polling agents who helped in counting and declaration of the results. Is it funny that it was based on the results of the same pink sheets that the General Secretary of the petitioners' party declared that they had won the elections prior to the official declaration of the results... All I seek to point out is summed up in the words of Lawyer Tony Lithur during the first day of cross examination: "Oh, so you too make mistakes" Mr. Writer, get out of your bubble- we live in an imperfect world!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I agree perfectly with you that we should not tolerate errors in every sphere of our national life particularly at national elections. We should there take every opportunity to point our errors and potential areas of errors in our electoral system and device appropriate solutions to avoid those errors.
  However, we must be careful not to consider all errors as legal, constitutional and statutory violations and vehemently seek court orders to nullify elections. There are many avenues to use in correcting our electoral systems apart from going to court which hightens tensions. An important fact is that we have made a lot of improvements to our electoral system in the past 20 years without having to go to court.
  We should in particular note that "to err is human" as the saying goes. We should not hold an attitude of "hollier than thou" otherwise we will all not be able to put our ideas together to help advance the development of our nation. The problem with out politicians is that each one of them wants to be able to beat his chest and say I am better than the other one. No one person or group of persons alone will develop this country better that a collective effort.
  Bawumia (NPP) accuses EC of making many errors and demand that for any error on a pink sheet, all the votes even if valid must be cancelled. He goes to court with his evidence and also makes mistakes. Must the court cancel all his evidence because he has made mistakes? Those who stay in glass houses must not throw stones.

  Did you not hear Bawumia admitting making errors in the affidavit and exhibits he filed? Should Bawumia be prosecuted for perjury?
