Nana Akuffo Addo made it clear from the beginning that he will accept the Supreme Court ruling, win or lose.Violence was not an option for the petitioners and the NPP that's why they chose to follow the constitution.If you have a word of advice about peace I suggest you talk to the fanatical NDC followership. Most ghanaians want peace but it's not enough to just wish for it. Peace has to be desired, pursued and kept when it's finally attained.Good luck.

Nana Addo is living by his "all die be die" mantra. A man who wants to be the president of Ghana at all cost. The NPP has not been able to prove where Prez Mahama stole their valid votes cast. Prez Mahama did not take a single vote from Nana Addo. This whole case is about three men who want to run Ghana at cost. Perhaps, Nana should know that God's time is the best. Nana cannot force the hand of God to make a president at all cost. The Victory is with the Lord and the Lord has spoken. Case finish.

While it is the prerogative of every Ghanaian to seek redress after every game, it is necessary for parameters to be set by the SC, after this case. Otherwise after every election, we shall have series of challenges like this one and there would never be an accepted President until after the case is heard which can take some time. Infact the EC's declaration would have no effect, would not be necessary. There would no more be any need to have Party agents at polling stations since after the elections a defeated party can challenge the results anyway and force the EC to do a recount. You see where we are dragging ourselves by being too legalistic. Something has to give. We don't want to replace our electoral system flawed as it is with mischief making all in the name of the right of challenge.

What we are looking at here, seems to be load of procedural, arithmetical and administrative errors, which has lead to accusations flying in all directions.

You can be sure that next time round these errors will not be allowed to happen again and with "pocket" electoral officers at all polling stations, the loser will just have to accept the verdict of the people, as the grounds for crying foul will be considerably reduced.

The most significant lesson to be drawn from this election petition is that never again will any malevolent party which is purely motivated by considerations other than winning political power through a fair means, be allowed to make wild and unsubstantiated allegations of electoral fraud against respected persons and institutions of the state in any any future election, unless that party disposes of unimpeachable facts and evidence of same before it can head court. The agony that Bawumia and the NPP are going through at the SC epitomises how merely making allegations without providing credible basis for such allegations can be embarrassing for politicians and their parties.
