Good you sounded the alarm about yet another callous land grab. The situation in Ghana has reached unreasonable and unbelievable levels, actually seizing land on which there is already a completed property! Before, when we were younger, the lintel level rule was applied in giving the land to the person who has built on the disputed land to the lintel level, which often, unfortunately, turned out to be the land grabber. Now, even if you own the land, built at least a boys quarters on it, pending the main house, they come and jump on it, with the help of fictitious back-dated documents from the Lands Dept, and grab it! That's what happened twice to Prosper Yao Tsikata, eventually forcing him to go on that One Man March on Parliament. Top govt officials were involved in the fraud committed on him, and his own so-called insider and powerful uncles couldn't even help him! It is a lawless country we have there, and nobody seems to care or listen to the truth!

That Lands Dept is a cesspool and its cleaning must be like cleaning the Aegean stables. The gates must be opened and everything swept out by a flood! I called for its down sizing and much of its functions transferred to the District level to be handled by the District Assemblies and Authorities.
