  With Ghana's new law that a tourist, who chooses to stay 90 days must pay $120 USD for a foreign ID card, with Ghana's unsolved crime rate against foreigners, with Ghana's totally unorganized tour and promotion of Ghana culture and activities, Ghana is doing everything it can to chase the tourist dollar to other countries.

  Too much talk and not enough action....Ghana's Tourism Strategy is either non existent or in total disarray....Additional tourist taxes, exorbitant visa prices that are unnecessarily difficult to obtain, poor infrastructure in tourist areas (Oxford Street Osu, all the beaches) lack of maintenance for museums...it's like no one is thinking properly or cares....

  If they want to promote tourism they must encourage tourists to come here and not to discourage them with what amounts to a $120.00 fine for wishing to come to Ghana.
  
  These days I hardly hear anything about the tourist industry. We have never really had great initiatives in the tourism sector but it seems that everything has collapsed in recent times. Even that ridiculously funny idea of an annual paragliding event on the Akwapim hills has literally gone down the hill.

  Sorry to say that, Ghana do not promote any tourism, and no amount of talking and at the same length articles would resolved tourism industry problems. Cry out loud, most ministerial heads enjoyed and relax at beautiful beach ...

  The fact is the Ghana tourism lacks proper way of promoting local sightseeing, besides the roads leading to these historical places are in poor state, yes, it is!!!!! now the question is do we really understand tourism? something needs to be done and to be done fast.
