- under a clause of a badly written Constitution, NPP nitwit Akyem Akufo Ado was able to go to Court hoping to get drunken Judges to tell him that the entire Ghana Electorate were fraudsters; that the EC's Declaration was void and null; and that he Akyem bluffer Akufo Ado is now the President; damn the legal concepts of Organs of State; and Separation of Powers

Let`s put part of the blame at the doorstep of our own Agyekum Kuffour for 'stacking' our SC with well-known NPP partisans. Imagine the level of contempt that an ingrate like Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie has directed at him (Kuffour)personally. But it severs him right,because as the the saying goes,"Woto adubone a,ebika woano",that is to say, he has gotten a taste of his own 'bad' medicine.
All these 'vuvuzela' commentators who have 'seized' our our air waves have coveniently hiiden the fact that if Afari Gyan was capable of 'fixing' the election results for any one particular individual, then the beneficiary should definitely have Nana Addo, his roommate at Legon!
But misguided and naive young 'turks' like Sammy Awuku,Tony Karbo,etc will try to 'sell' you the prepostereous idea that the Afari Gyan you see on TV, was 'induced' to change his stance with a GHc 35 million payoff!

Bearing in mind that all elections around the world have margin of error. Even in America the oldest democracy in the world also allows margin of error NPP have brought our democracy into disrupute and therefore they should ban from the next election. Our country is bigger than these two party's and we should not allow them to bring our nation to its knees. God bless Ghana.

He said NPP can go to court to seek redress like the old Biblical history when Caesar said to the Jews "What I have written is written" when they (Jews) wanted him to erase his famous quote on Christ's Cross. Even if NPP lost the case, it will be an eye opener to every Ghanaian that in future elections, they will cast eagle eye on polling agents and maybe raise alarm immediately they see election malpractices going on in the voting station.

It is like the deep south in the US,in centuries gone by,where the tiny male,white and 'propertied' class had the vote,and hence enjoyed the 'right' to rule in the land!
Even Kuffour has gotten a taste of his the 'bad medicine' he helped to 'create' during the 8 short years during his tenure. Can you realistically count on the SC we have in place now to have the courage to have thrown out this case as you have intimated? Can you imagine what people like Kweku Baako and his bunch of 'marauders' in the media would have done? What about the well-cultivated class of 'zombies' we have on our hands who have co-opted alphabet groups such as AFAG,LMVC,etc?
ou only salvation stems from the fact that 'outsiders' are closely following all these events; and from all the indications thus far,and courtesy of Bawumiah,Akuffo and company are destined to 'crash-land' and self-destruct in the end!

Pobee, what are you trying to say? Our laws make room for foreign observers at our elections. Our laws make room for dissatisfied Ghanaians to seek redress over election results. The fact that these international observers claimed the elections were fair does not stop people who were aggrieved by the results from going to court. What the constitution did not say was that people who were aggrieved by election results should take arms. So would you rather the NPP aborted the court action and took their guns?
For your logic to be upheld, I suppose laws of our land should be changed so that having international observers at polls and the provision for aggrieved people to go to court do not both appear side by side in Ghanaian laws.
On the other hand, I believe you could have gone further to suggest that the international observers be dropped from subsequent elections, since their verdict do not normally agree with reality - or they probably do not report exactly what they observed.

I cannot understand why you should bear your teeth against the filing of the petition when it is the constitutional right of the petitioners. I however, agree with you that the latitude granted counsel in the hearing of the petition,is worrisome.

If we encourage what the NPP is doing, no election will be won in Ghana again. All you have to do when you lose and election is refuse to accept and start your own audit for administrative errors, missing signatures etc and claim the election is rigged. NPP itself will never win an election without a dispute in Ghana. The NDC will file a petition , do an audit and their own analysis.
So now NPP is the EC telling us who has won the election. Next it will be NDC that is the EC telling NPP why they have not won the election. NPP indeed is a problem for this country - a tribal cabal

And just look at the cast of characters, headed by Philip Addison, Gloria Akuffo,etc that that is providing the 'oxygen' to fuel this vain attempt to gain power "at-all-cost" through the backdoor! To me, that is the scarry,but sad aspect of this story.

If there were blatant shenanigans in the election, I would be among the ones carrying the pitch fork shouting to get the crook out. The only one crying foul in this election is Nana Akufo Addo and it is in his interest to do that. It does not mean we have to let him take the nation through what we are going through right now.
If Nana Akufo Addo got say 60% of the votes, I am sure he will be president right now. The fact that he can't get votes does not make someone a theif. I am shocked that Nana Addo cannot win even Cape Coast. NPP will be better off taking the blinders off and move beyond Nana Akufo Addo.
