We need to get all the Big Shots in NPP and NDC into one of these pilotless planes and just program the flight wrongly. Ghana shall then have peace.

It's an innovation that is laudable and deserves an applause, period. money needs to be spent in the name of R&D and that's why it's getting all these publicity. my opinion.

They say never say never. if that's going to be the order of the day, I think humans would adapt. Eventually.

Probably. But is must be different kind of parachute, and only if it is the aircraft rather than the passengers and the crew that should use it.

No one will have use for parachutes above 3000 feet.

Bro, you must be an airplane passionate to write this. The article brings a monotony change to the inflammatory and politically-twisted articles we see every day.

Reacting to the theme of the article, you have answered the question as to whether or not commercial aircraft could be completely automated. There is no possibility in the foreseeable years. As your write up indicated, the complexity of the maneuvers through phases of the flight makes the thought illusionary and creepy, knowing the consistency of flight operations. Electronic aircraft operations - the avionics and software are designed with the possibility of manual takeover as backburner assuming there is failure in any of the thousands of control systems. A 100 percent commercial flight with no pilot? I sincerely express my doubts.

I can remember a veteran pilot in the US who had become so used to instrument flight thought he could land a commercial type plane blindfolded! He was given the nod for the daring exploit found out hard sitting for a long time before instrument panels could be deceiving. VFR is still necessary during landing. The bet ended badly with the entailing consequences for him and those with him.

Anyway we have been running pilotless in Ghana for ages as those in the cockpit are clueless... I wish very much Ghana was run on remote control from the Britain. Our current crop of leaders are too useless.

Sullenberger was adept in flying gliders.His gliding skills guided Flight 1549 gliding descent onto the the Hudson river.
